Excited to announce that this work is now live as a first release article @ScienceMagazine So grateful for this fantatic team and to see this work in wild! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
1/14 On behalf of the amazing team in @JswLab, we’re excited to share PEtracer (biorxiv.org/content/10.110…) a prime editing-based evolving lineage recorder compatible with both scRNA-seq and high-resolution imaging readouts in intact tissue. By applying PEtracer in a syngeneic mouse…
🚀 Join CongLab @Stanford! We’re hiring postdocs to create lab-in-the-loop self-evolving AI agents, open benchmarks, to design, test & learn—advancing safer gene & cell therapies. Build on CRISPR-GPT, RNAGenesis model, Genome-Bench, for innovative medicines. #PostdocJobs
How it started vs. How it's going #Tenured Grateful to all those who've been a part of this journey so far. The fun is just getting started 💪 Curious to find out what this privilege of tenure can enable. Let's put it to the test. Feel free to share ideas 😉 #AcademicTwitter
OK. I posted a first attempt at spelling out some of my thoughts on the new race for virtual cell models. Overall, I'm excited, but also wary that we might repeat some of the same mistakes of the past.
Collaborative work online now @CellStemCell provides insight into how mutant immune cells can help mitigate Alzheimer’s disease. Tet2-mutant myeloid cells are able to infiltrate the brain and clear β-amyloid, slowing cognitive decline. cell.com/cell-stem-cell…
Today marks a meaningful milestone -- I am starting as a lab investigator @CompOncMSK and thoracic oncologist @MSK_DeptOfMed, focused on improving treatment through a deep understanding of cancer evolution. I'll soon be looking for fellow travelers on this mission. Stay tuned!

So cool: @tahoe_ai is giving $25K (on top of the $100k + $50k + $25k) to the best open-source model on @huggingface for the @arcinstitute's Virtual Cell Challenge! Open-source + AI + biology = 🔥🔥🔥
I f*** love this. And to put even more momentum behind this awesome movement by our @arcinstitute friends: 🥁@tahoe_ai will give $25K to the best model that is also open-sourced with weights on @huggingface for everyone's use! + maybe a mention on X by @ClementDelangue? ;)
Register today for the Virtual Cell Challenge and use AI to solve one of biology’s most complex problems. Announced in @CellCellPress, the competition is hosted by Arc Institute and sponsored by @nvidia, @10xGenomics, and @UltimaGenomics.
Congratulations to Whitney Henry on being named a 2025 HHMI Freeman Hrabowski Scholar! Her work on ferroptosis sheds light on novel mechanisms of cell death in cancer. We’re proud she’s part of the KI! hhmi.org/programs/freem…
Preprint drop from our team at @arcinstitute! Introducing STATE: a model that learns and predicts transcriptomic responses to chemical or genetic perturbations. This is the first model to beat simple linear baselines and our first step toward building a virtual cell model.

Now in @Cancer_Cell our group reports the development of a first-in-class EGFR-directed KRAS G12V selective inhibitor. KRAS G12V mutations are the 2nd most common KRAS mutation in cancer, and there are still no approved inhibitors in the clinic. We address two major challenges…
great panel and event!
Our cofounder Nima @nalidoust joined Nobel Laureate @JohnJumperSci and other AI x Bio leaders including Brandon Wood, Sam Rodriques, and Simon Kohl to discuss foundation models of biology, data bottlenecks, the metrics for success, and what to expect in the next few years in AI…
Delighted to bring gene circuits into a wide array of primary cells where they can be used for safe, effective gene therapies. 🧵 (1/n) Tremendous work by lead author @kaseyslove to dig into the details of these systems and figure out how to get these to work well! Original…
Loss of gene expression can compromise cellular fitness. In the case of such haploinsufficiency, replacement of the gene supplementation could rescue cell health. But what if you need a very precise dosage? Try ComMAND! 🧵 (1/n) Link: doi.org/10.1101/2024.0…
In the nucleus, many intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) form condensates. What IDP sequence features drive this behavior? We developed CondenSeq, a high-throughput method to measure nuclear condensate formation & applied it to ~14000 IDPs to find out rdcu.be/eq975
