@drvalters
For those quick to lecture me on being kind—no, I won’t be. I’m neutral. Kindness is a choice I might make, not a rule I’m obliged to follow everywhere.
A person assessed me. Someone else reviewed the notes in morning. I assumed they were all drs- different ranks. They weren’t. Turns out, the rota was so stretched they’d filled it with whoever they can fit. What patients don’t realise about who’s treating them now in the NHS.

Could you lovely GPs get together and issue a statement about this loophole that PAs and their enablers are using to see undifferentiated patients please? Triaged isn’t differentiated

@wesstreeting why aren’t you concerned about patient safety on NON strike days ? This is happening tonight . A whistleblower has revealed what is going on in this emergency department. Managers are deliberately putting patients at risk Are you going to find out where this is?

Gp practice: PA ‘ Hi I’m a PA ,how can I help ‘ PT: A PA ? I asked to see a GP and I’ve heard that PAs can’t diagnose PA: I reject that guidance by NHSE PT : I want to see a GP PA: there aren’t any available, you’ll have to come back tomorrow PT: I’m in pain PA: sorry
Despite all the noise about student loans, Mr Streeting didn’t seriously raise it once in the negotiating room. Instead, he chose to brief the media. He could prevent these strikes today by paying doctors £22.67/hr. share.google/Lich7R7i6mwowq…
lol literally exactly the same as the Tories Get a new playbook @wesstreeting
1.Wes Streeting has written to BMA DHSC spokesperson: “The letter from the Secretary of State to the BMA’s Resident Doctor Committee is the culmination of the constructive conversations that have been had in recent days….
And they will expect to use doctors' strike action to ask for increases in their own pay (without actually going on strike & losing pay from strike days themselves)
Who’d have thought? Smaller practices have better patient satisfaction than larger ones. Guess which ones @wesstreeting @DHSCgovuk @NHSEngland want to keep?🤔 Yep the large ones & make them even bigger! Good one Wes et al! 🤯 gponline.com/10-year-health…
It seems that either @UHSFT don’t know the law or are trying to trick doctors out of their right to strike. Any resident doctor in England with BMA membership or no union membership can strike. You do not need to “register” with the BMA. Strike hard.
This is why @wesstreeting wants to flood the NHS with medically unqualified, unregulated ACPs . To replace Drs on drs Rotas YES , I said unregulated, @nmcnews @The_HCPC etc don’t regulate ACPs practising medicine .
I was interviewed by the i paper about reflux, how to manage, and when to be concerned.
What is the point in going to Med school @wesstreeting @RCollEM ?
Would love to understand from RCEM and Dorset how this works ‘Senior decision maker in all areas in ED’… as an ACP So is that a working on tier 3 or 4 of ‘medical’ rotas?
Replacing nurses and doctors with lesser skilled workforce can be explained in this way: You have a gold standard bulb which gives a brighter light, is dimmable, lasts 50,000 hours and costs £10 The second bulb gives a dimmer light, isn’t dimmable, lasts 10,000 hours and costs…
I still don’t know what the differences actually are between what ACPs and doctors do in the ED. I’ve asked for practical examples of how they could be differentiated outside of the RCEM tier document, but have not had any reply from EM physicians.
From someone who helped create this mess, this smug deflection is almost impressive. The usual ill-informed take from the permanently comfortable — baffled that doctors are angry while watching their profession gutted in real time. “Different groups celebrated” — sure.…
I'm still in my fight phase. We have a duty to patients, to the law and to those who will go after us . At some point I will be beaten and go with the flow. For now 💪
Could the 10-year health plan derail rising GP patient satisfaction? Yes it will! Big is not the way to go! gponline.com/10-year-health… via @
Unbelievably decadent Unbelievably so. (Please don’t refer me to the @gmcuk - again) Disclaimer: You do YOU 🥰
Since everyone in the NHS want to play Dr but nobody wants to lift those heavy books, should the NHS bring back the white coat for Drs only ?
