✊Solidarity with striking @BMAResidents doctors! Resident doctors are overworked and underpaid. The government has a responsibility to restore their pay after decades of austerity. Firefighters stand with NHS resident doctors.

Pity it was the PAs issuing the orders... x.com/veggieequallif…
Oh here is also the list of jobs I was given by the reg level PAs when I was busy on call holding the bleep. So they can go to theatre/clinics ASAP. I had seen none of these patients. And I had to prescribe all these. Not from a consultant or a doctor but a PA.
Let's not forget the NHS pension - defined benefits, with lower final salary, higher employee and employer contributions No longer gold plated and contributions generating a >£6bn annual excess that goes back to the treasury ....which is more than enough to pay for resident…
How about fixing the fact most NHS dentists also work for Bupa and too often say an NHS crown or a bridge won't work and your best clinical option is a private implant at £3500 ! Two tier dentistry just like Wes Streeting' 2Teir , doctorless NHS - #FairPay4Doctors #SaveOurNHS
We're taking action to make sure patients can access an NHS dentist when they need it - starting with the areas of greatest need. We're delivering 700,000 extra appointments, and ensuring the NHS dental budget is actually spent - which remarkably wasn't the case under last govt!
General practice in Northern Ireland is in crisis. GPs have voted to begin collective action - we need an improved offer from the government that increases our core funding to avert a total crisis #GPsAreOnYourSide
The NMC have acknowledged this . Why can’t the HCPC ?
Literally what I just said . ACPs practice medicine . They’re not regulated by the HCPC or any other body to practise medicine .
Is this your best effort to keep patients safe @wesstreeting ? It’s your governments decisions and directives that’ve told trusts not to escalate rates. Any harm will be on your hands

This is complete BULLSHIT, what do you think people'll say when not having enough doctors means hospital safety goes DOWN? To top it off, we have doctors who are UNEMPLOYED! The public aren't falling for these stupid games ANYMORE! Hire more NHS doctors, or we'll turf you out!
I think people like Kate and @ProfRWinston need get a dose of reality, re dr unemployment & substitution with PA’s etc, £100k+ student loans, much worse NHS pensions. A different world from 1970/80s - I can’t get a plumber to come out under £150 and s/he only attends for 50 mins.
Waiting for @wesstreeting to publicly call out this NHS Trust for showing 'complete disdain for patients' #NHS #PatientSafety

An extremely warm welcome to our new ST3s Max Dewhurst, Emily Boother, Siddarth Raj, Peggy Miller and Aniket Bharadwaj. They will be joining the Royal London rotation in October.
😡Streeting hits out at ‘reckless’ doctors talks to avoid five-day strike fail independent.co.uk/news/health/do… As hard as this is but to show support I will act down Whilst assessing and examining I will do… TTOs Discharge summaries DNAR Fast Track @Molly2323232323 @DrHWazir
Suggesting that doctors have a complete disdain for patients is a bold statement. The public see right through this Labour government. Elected on a mandate of change, only to bring more of the same.
Health and Social Care Secretary @WesStreeting responds to the BMA confirming Resident Doctor strikes will go ahead on Friday 👇
The "consultant" is the one whose name is above the bed. Nobody else. That's what happens on my ward with my patients. The physio is welcome to take my patient over but I don't see that happening somehow
I would like to know the "variety of reasons" salvaging this situation falls on trainees rather than consultants. I have a lot of sympathy for consultants being asked to cover for management's cost-cutting, but passing the buck to registrars is unacceptable.
ED unfortunately pushes itself further away from medical practice, and closer to a major triage service. Just call the relevant specialty - from resus to minors - and refer
Lol this is what @wesstreeting and @DHSCgovuk don’t tell you On most days the NHS is short staffed and unsafe (extremely dangerously so) Yet they don’t say anything about this Only on strike days this somehow matters And ‘journalists’ will never report this - they are gov…
