I am a keen walker and dog owner; I enjoy and value the beautiful countryside and nature surrounding where I live and I want to save it for future generations.
The heart sinks. New report from Rachel Aldred's Active Travel Unit. Given exclusively to Peter Walker who spins as a success the fact casualties have not increased on boundary rds where they are already much higher and where efforts should be focused. theguardian.com/world/2025/jul…
Could anyone identify anything that @Wera_Hobhouse has done while in office, that has provided a tangible benefit for her constituents in Bath? Besides the unfounded allegation that they are more racist than people in Rochdale? somersetlive.co.uk/news/somerset-…
Buses provide a vital service to blind and partially sighted people in getting to work, attending healthcare appointments, completing education, and being part of communities. Read our #AllAboard report on Navigating bus travel with sight loss: rnib.in/bus-report
How did anyone believe such a concept to be a good idea?
Keep posting different designs of floating bus stops & still the same issues. This one is in Mile End in London. @simonlightwood @Heidi_Labour @LordPeterHendy how much longer do blind people have to wait to get their bus services back? Please pause any more floating bus stops.
This tragedy is still happening @Heidi_Labour @LordPeterHendy @simonlightwood. These floating bus stops need to be halted too. They are not safe or accessible for blind people. They need to be removed please. Pedestrians & bus users need their pavements & bus stops back please.
‘The tragedy is that visually impaired people are ending up at the bottom of the pile & are designed out of the environment’ Andrews words about a pavement-less bus stop on the new Lea Bridge Road cycle lane in London. @LouHaigh @simonlightwood we need urgent help on this issue.
.@MayorofLondon @SebDance @willnorman @Heidi_Labour @LordPeterHendy @simonlightwood @SteveReedMP @clairekholland Why are 2-way floating bus stops being installed in Streatham Hill Scheme? These will not work for blind people. Why are their access needs being ignored? @AndrewBoff
We need an immediate halt on any more floating bus stops @Keir_Starmer. Blind people are being excluded from catching the bus due to these designs which are still being put in. @NFBUK have no faith in @transportgovuk to tackle this @Heidi_Labour @simonlightwood @LordPeterHendy.
A motorcyclist died in a collision after a cyclist jumped a red light and and cycle lobby supporters try to deflect blame upon others …. Truly shocking how disgusting some cyclists are …
It's all 20mph limits there so how did a fully protected motorcyclist die ?
Please watch this ….. Pedestrians are top of the hierarchy… The most vulnerable…. Weaving in and out of them is wrong. The blind and disabled are being put at risk. I’m sure my fellow cyclists will agree this should not be happening The speed and reckless cycling here is…
The Secretary of State for Transport, @Heidi_Labour, was responsible for all the conflicts at the Park Lane floating bus stops. It’s no wonder she won’t let her department sort the mess out sensibly in favour of disabled access.
Went back to Park Lane in London. Found part of the cycle lane closed. People observed riding on the pavement, on the floating bus stop island & past people waiting at or on the crossing. @CityWestminster @MetCycleCops @TfL please urgently do something as this is not safe.
The @MayorofLondon says that floating bus stops that comply with @TfL guidance are usable by blind people. This despite having warning messages on the bus urging passengers to cross the cycle track with caution! How can blind people be cautious? They can’t see or hear the cycles!

A cynical ‘win’. The ‘boundary’ roads outside the LTNs, which are often 800% less safe than side roads see no reduction in injuries. Who cares about their residents? theguardian.com/world/2025/jul…
