I hope journalist don't just reproduce a press release. The panel didn't like the way Clare Moody handled this. Please check the report of their opinion. @TristanCorkPost @BristolLive @bristol247 @beardedjourno @BBCBristol @itvwestcountry @adam_ldr @AlexGSeabrook @john_wimperis
NEW: Kevin Slocombe, the former head of ex-Bristol mayor Marvin Rees' office, has been confirmed as the new Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for Avon and Somerset
#50sWomen @StephenFlynnSNP @UKLabour PLUS interest.
That person asks a fair question 🤔 however there is more than sufficient money in the National Insurance and CRND accounts (where excess NI contributions are held), to compensate #50sWomen @leicesterliz We demand #CEDAWinLAW #Mediation We see our withheld monies sitting there!
It makes me so angry to hear politicians & the public say “disabled people will be supported” - they aren’t even fucking supported now!!! How exactly do you think this will get better with less money?! Less access to & failing services because they want to push privatisation 🤬
Terrible indictment of our times. A very ill mum died despite phoning an ambulance & her daughter with Downs died probably through starvation. They were not found for months. Not a tragic situation it's about the breakdown of our services & communities nottinghampost.com/news/nottingha…
I’ve been advised to take my case against the DWP to the Independent Case Examiner if there is still no resolution. I had not heard of this. I note it looks at redress for maladministration. Does anyone here have experience of this route?
"No timeframe for hosepipe ban end, says water company." Did I mention by the way that according to Ofwat, Thames Water is worth a gobsmacking, head wobbling, stonking £21,008,425,000. Honest, I swear, I'm not making this up. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
286,000 people have already signed the very brilliant @SOSWhitstable's petition. They would like to get it to 300,000. You know what you need to do my friends, get cracking.
Had enough of water industry greed? Our petition to return to public ownership has been signed by 286,000+ people. We'd love to get to 300k and then deliver it to @Keir_Starmer. If you could sign and share we would be grateful 🙏🏻 change.org/nationalise-wa…
What’s the Brexit benefit you are going to miss the most?
I want my freedom of movement back. I want your freedom of movement back. I want EU citizens' freedom of movement back. And I'll happily take Schengen/Euro to make that happen. We won't get the great deal we had before, but whatever we accept will be better than what we have now.
Thanking @natalieben for fighting for us today. We didn’t get the result we wanted, but I’m thankful for those politicians who have fought for us and continue to do so. The fight isn’t over ✊
📉 @GoldmanSachs boss: Chancellor must face Brexit reality — or deal with flight of capital 🧵
But it looks so beautiful and is such an improvement - makes all the difference between the former unliveability and the all new liveability, innit? Thank you BCC for saving our lives with these plastic boxes of plants that have sacrificed their lives for us.
I'm afraid I agree. By withholding the Russia report and other information, along with extensive disinformation parroted in the billionaire press, the electorate was deprived of crucial, good quality information, not least on conduct of the Brexit referendum.
🧵 The ECHR just ruled that the UK government’s failure to investigate Russian interference in our elections did not breach our human rights. And here’s why that should alarm every democrat. 👇 @carolecadwalla
Don't get old, don't become sick, don't be poor. It is clear that all Governments want to wash their hands of the people who need support. If you're rich, laugh all the way to your non dom status, offshore account or tax evasion scheme. F*CK Labour, you're deed to me.
“We never get to see people living with pain or #disability because—guess what? They can’t leave their houses. #PainFlare-ups can also be unpredictable. You might make plans and then have to say, ‘I’m sorry, but I can’t manage this today.’” buff.ly/ihSc0lI #chronicillness
As Doctors are about to go on strike, I take pleasure that the next big flush of the toilet (General election) will see this piece of fecal impaction, aka @wesstreeting, flushed into the sewer from whence he came.
The saga of the Baltic Wharf Caravan Park on the Floating Harbour continues. There is an application to remove the Affordable Housing obligation being heard next Monday by Development Control Committee B. We have submitted these question and statement to the committee: 1/2
