I read it, @SocEnvJustice. It says buses slow due to - rise in ride-hailing services - narrowed bus lanes - roadworks - not enough dedicated bus lanes - TfL's slow progress on remedies No mention of LTNs. Borough with the biggest drop in bus speeds, Richmond, has no LTNs. 🤔
They keep talking about how great bus gates are …. Don’t believe them … buses save 1 minute going through bus gate but lose anything up to 30 minutes outside it some days…. Getting to and from it is the problem due to manufacturing of traffic.
Bus route W4 that travels within LTNs and on boundary roads has seen a shocking 97% reduction in performance post LTN looking at data pre and post LTNs. Shocking but not suprised as many bus routes around the LTNs are suffering. Yet council support this while making millions.
