Will be back outside the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Green Area for the South Yorkshire Regional Picket 👉👉8am to 11am, Friday 25 July 👈 @TheBMA @BMAResidents 👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊
Also Wes Streeting, you’re not fit to lace their boots.
It’s not the BMA “undermining the trade union movement”. It’s a Labour Prime Minister, writing in the Murdoch press, urging junior doctors to break with their union leadership. That’s a direct attack on trade unionism. Solidarity with @TheBMA and junior doctors on strike.
Keir Starmer: Resident doctors should break ranks with the BMA leadership. The industrial action that starts on Friday is in no one’s interests and medics should not follow their union down its dangerous and destructive route, he says. thetimes.com/article/3fdcd5…
The BMA has agreed to a derogation for one doctor in the ED and one doctor in ISGM the at the Northern General Hospital. We advise resident doctors to return to work if contacted by the Trust to staff these shifts tonight.
Sending solidarity to my elder daughter and all the other resident doctors on strike today ✊ #doctorsstrike
📣 Five days of strike action starts today. These strikes could have been averted, if @Wesstreeting had a credible offer for us to consider. ✊ Find your nearest picket: bma.org.uk/rdpicketlines Stick Together. Strike Together. Win Together.
Inaction Man Streeting. All mouth. No motion. @BMAResidents strike for our future. We want the NHS to be there when it's needed
For millions of patients, the NHS is no longer there for them when they need it. Rishi Sunak is Inaction Man, refusing to meet with doctors to end NHS strikes and adding to the Tories' NHS backlog. It will take Labour - the Party of the NHS - to restore it to good health.
Thanks to @jamestoml1 for coming to visit and show support to the Residents on South Yorkshire Regional Picket
NEW: @wesstreeting has been slammed by several trade union general secretaries after claiming doctors' strikes undermine the trade union movement. 'Don't question the mandate of the doctors when your own constituents came within a whisker of removing you.'
This dispute was raised months ago. Wes Streeting waited until strike week to negotiate, Then blamed doctors for walking. If anyone held the country to ransom, It’s the Health Secretary who showed up late with empty hands and empty promises.
We're standing up for fair pay on picket lines across England Hear why we're campaigning for #PayRestoration Stick Together. Strike Together. Win Together.
Northern doctors sent a clear message today that no doctor is worth less than a doctor in 2008 The power to end these strikes lies squarely with @wesstreeting - he must make a meaningful offer to reverse our pay erosion and continue the journey to fair pay #DoctorsStrike
Great to see such a fantastic turnout for our picket at @UHSussex . No doctor here is worth 21% less than they were in 2008 ❌ @wesstreeting it’s time to end this, make us a credible offer to restore our pay
@wesstreeting we all got your letter through NHS England encouraging us not to strike but we turned up on the picket lines around the country, where are you?
Just finished my night on-call shift yesterday - then drove straight to the @WestMidsBMA regional picket to stand in solidarity with fellow @BMAResidents doctors. As doctors, we don’t strike lightly. This is our last resort to fight for the pay we deserve. @TheBMA ✊️

No thanks. We will stick with BMA.

Thank you @jeremycorbyn for visiting our regional WM @BMAResidents doctors picket line. Where is @wesstreeting? No doctor wants to strike. We want to be at work doing what we spent years training for. Today, we stand together @TheBMA because there's no other choice.
Today’s resident doctor strikes coincide with those by refuse workers in Birmingham, who are facing pay cuts of up to £8K. Some doctors went to support the refuse workers earlier in the morning, while refuse workers returned the favour outside the hospital. #Solidarity
A fantastic turnout at the @GSTTnhs picket today. Doctors came out in strength and made sure they were heard all the way in Westminster by @wesstreeting. No dr wants to strike. But we’ve been forced into this position by a Government that refuses to value and retain NHS staff.
Thank you to the fantastic LNC Chairs standing in solidarity with @BMAResidents @TheBMA
