You refuse to negotiate and then call doctors “unreasonable” for not settling. £17.56/hour to run wards, save lives, and work through chronic understaffing. After 15 years of pay erosion, they’re asking for fairness. What’s not reasonable is slamming the door, then…
The government /@wesstreeting leaked its own letter to the BMA. No credible offer. No pay proposal. And now, no trust. If Wes Streeting thinks spin will fix a broken system, He’s not negotiating. He’s campaigning.

The Health Secretary’s allies say the RDC's leaders “have no spine.” But it takes spine to stand up for Resident Doctors. If anyone’s showing weak leadership, It’s the government that had every chance to fix this, but chose to smear instead.

We're standing up for fair pay on picket lines across England Hear why we're campaigning for #PayRestoration Stick Together. Strike Together. Win Together.
I’m supporting @TheBMA Because trying to fix the NHS without improving pay & conditions for health/social care workers is like trying to refill a bath without the plug Recruitment, retention, burnout - this is the crisis Resident doctors deserve better. So does every patient
A fantastic turnout at the @GSTTnhs picket today. Doctors came out in strength and made sure they were heard all the way in Westminster by @wesstreeting. No dr wants to strike. But we’ve been forced into this position by a Government that refuses to value and retain NHS staff.
This is why Resident doctors in England are taking a stand against the Government - it’s time to pay us what we're worth. Support us on the picket lines 📢 25 to 30 July #PayRestoration #DoctorsStrike bma.org.uk/residentspay
I will be on the picket line at St Thomas’ bright and early tomorrow. If you’re a resident doctor on strike, I urge you to come out on the pickets in force. Pickets are a symbol of our unity and strength. Let’s show Wes Streeting how determined we can be.
I'm fed up with seeing journalist paid over £200+ per hour call Doctors greedy for asking for £22 per hour for saving lives. Without doctors we have no NHS. A win for doctors is a win for all. It's not about turning out eachother. We need solidarity. #JoinStrikeWin
Doctors are fleeing the NHS. Every year, 20 000 doctors are leaving the profession prematurely - many because their pay no longer reflects the weight of the job. The real question isn’t whether we can afford to pay doctors. It’s whether we can afford the cost of losing them.
Dear Mr Streeting, Please agree to restore resident doctor pay to 22.67£/hr. You don't have to do it all in one go. You are paying doctors' assistants more than doctors - this is ludicrous. You could call off the strikes today if you accept.
Dear Wes Streeting, Stop trying to gaslight resident doctors. Let’s talk about what was actually on the table. Absolutely nothing meaningful. 🔴 No offer on pay; *in a pay dispute*. 🔴 Vague mentions of “training” and “workplace costs” - with no funding, no timelines, no…
Wes Streeting is copying the same failed Tory playbook - and doctors see right through it. No offer on pay. No plan to move fully qualified doctors from £18.62/hr to £22.67/hr, even over time. Vague “non pay elements” that mean nothing. Student loan forgiveness wasn’t even on…
28.9% pay uplift seems like a big number, but when you take that into pounds per hour, it represents an extra 4£/hr split over 3 years without taking into account inflation, an extra 1.3£/hr a year. See my comment on the guardian below 👇 theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
repost from Reddit. A Trust in the U.K. tonight, without any strikes taking place. @wesstreeting @ShaunLintern @SkyNews @LBCNews
The BMA met @wesstreeting in good faith. They asked for a credible offer on pay The government sent a letter. No pay offer. No loan relief. No substance. Strikes weren’t inevitable. But this response made them necessary.
At today's RDC meeting, we’ve voted to go ahead with strike action. Last week when we met @wesstreeting we were open to finding solutions to restore pay and improve working conditions. Today, we still do not have a credible offer on the table @Melissa_S_Ryan @RossNieuwoudt

77,000+ operations were cancelled last year, Before patients even arrived. Staffing gaps. Bed shortages. Systemic failure. The NHS isn’t just disrupted by strikes. It’s disrupted every day, By the very conditions doctors are striking to fix.
