"The horror in Gaza must end", David Lammy declares. In the past week alone, the Labour government has sent spy flights over Gaza and welcomed the head of the Israeli air force to Britain. Is the @IntlCrimCourt watching?
The horror in Gaza must end. We're stepping up our humanitarian efforts with new healthcare, food and water for Gazans. We need an immediate ceasefire now, the release of all hostages and a surge in aid.
The UK must immediately recognise Palestinian statehood. There can be no two state solution if there is no viable state left to call Palestine.
“A complete disdain for patients and the wider recovery of the NHS.” - UK Secretary of State for Health, on doctors asking to be paid as much as their assistants. 22/7/2025 Face it. They were right, weren’t they. #BMA1948 ALL OUT 💪🏻
Cost of resolving the Doctors pay dispute is between £200-£500m, they are not asking for this all in one yr, just a commitment Context this is a quarter of the extra £ received back into the treasury last year alone from £ into the NHS Pension Alternatively £5-£13 /taxpayer/yr
NHS Pension scheme increased surplus last year by £2bn - which goes back to the treasury Still can’t afford the extra pay @wesstreeting @RachelReevesMP NHS scheme takes in more £ than it pays out £6.3bn Liabilities are huge but income higher vs costs nhsbsa.nhs.uk/sites/default/…
This story is so dystopian, using anti-terror legislation to arrest a man for holding up a cartoon from a beloved national magazine at a peaceful demo. I really lost it though when the police got the suspect's name after finding his "senior bus pass" theguardian.com/world/2025/jul…
Are Private Eye jokes now... criminal? PALESTINE Solidarity campaigner Jon Farley was arrested, bundled into a van and taken to the cells during a silent march in Leeds last weekend. What egregious act had prompted the police to act? He was, er, carrying a Private Eye joke piece…
Says the generation that helped kill the NHS 🤣
Doctor strikes going ahead. A poor decision. I have never striked for a single minute in my fifty plus year career in medicine, and I never will.
In the run up to the Resident Doctors strike I would like to remind every member of the wider MDT that taking on extra shifts to line your grubby pockets is directly putting your boot into Resident Doctors The Firefighters knew what solidarity looked like No excuses No scabs
Firefighters were asked to cross the picket line and collect bins in Birmingham. Firefighters are trade unionists and we will never disrespect our comrades fight for fair pay. Solidarity with Birmingham's bin workers! #megapicket
Doctors become apathetic and radicalised against the NHS before they even start working. Is it any surprise we no longer want to die on its alter? Given the contempt and disdain it treats us? They were right, weren’t they? #BMA1948
.@Melissa_S_Ryan from @BMAResidents explains the govt is refusing to make an offer on pay, refusing to make on offer on pay restoration & refusing to make an offer on a non pay package Thats why resident doctors are being forced to go on strike. Solidarity with resident doctors.
If Lammy is appalled, he should stop the RAF aiding Israel. He should ban exports of arms to Israel. He should impose sanctions on Israel. He doesn't. I don't believe he's appalled. Sorry. But his words don't match his actions. And actions are what count.
David Lammy says he's appalled and sickened by what he sees in Gaza. You're supporting, arming & assisting Israel. You're a war criminal.
Did any of you think The Daily Express would be first to discover a Shred of Humanity?
People in #Gaza, including UNRWA staff, are fainting due to starvation and severe hunger. People including children are dying from severe malnutrition. People are being starved. UNRWA alone has thousands of trucks in neighbouring countries waiting to enter Gaza – banned by…
AFP warning its Gaza reporters are at risk of literally starving to death - having risked their lives for so long to tell the story that Israel prevents the international media from reaching.
AFP Journalists’ Association on reporters in Gaza: ‘Since AFP was founded in August 1944, we have lost journalists in conflicts, we have had wounded and prisoners in our ranks, but none of us can remember seeing a colleague die of hunger. We refuse to see them die’
The Zionist holocaust regime has lost the Daily Express
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Can't believe you still haven't grasped how science is done.
We've had "intolerable" & "unacceptable". Now we've got "deeply deeply troubled" Meanwhile the UK govt continues exporting arms to Israel, trading with Israel, providing military assistance to Israel, hosting senior IDF officers, training IDF soldiers, etc
@ProfKarolSikora doctors are paid £18ph Physician assistants are paid £24ph Is this fair ? Should Drs be paid less than their assistants who haven’t studied medicine and can’t even prescribe paracetamol or request an X-ray ?
Wes Streeting can still avert the doctors strikes. All he needs to do is put forward a credible offer that moves us forward on the path to full pay restoration. We’re asking to go from £18.62/hr to £22.67/hr, not even all at once. The clock is ticking. spectator.co.uk/article/can-we…
