You are correct Valerie. It does not in fact always constitute as IA. In this case if it did it would not break the contract and would actually in fact only remove trade union protection for any action they allegedly breached their contract with. It would not, however, remove…
WtR may or may not be “industrial action”. I know that isn’t helpful, but the law is confusing on this. (1) it depends on the contract; (2) if it constitutes a “withdrawal of goodwill” then it can be ind action and a breach of contract - BT plc v Ticehurst and Thompson (1992)
Oh dear... It's almost like it was planned from the very start...
Handily, the BMA did pass a motion regarding ACPs just yesterday...
Can someone please explain to me how the BMA is going to mitigate the conflict of interest when it has to investigate it's own member for alleged misconduct/breach of good medical practice and represent their member against itself at the same time? Genuinely interested.
Remind me the next time someone calls it a toxic debate to show the person the stream of immature dross we have to deal with that is little more than childish bullying... A debate is two sided and has arguments of merit to be discussed. Being body shamed and name calling is an…
Mr. (Not Dr) Bulky Sulker, says what now?!….lol Is Mr. (Not Dr) Bulky Sulker in competition with Massive Massey for the largest BMI in England 🏴?!….lol
The mask doth slip... This bullying campaign is starting to become inherently transparent with the Leng submissions from key organisations lacking the depth that would warrant the damage of the statements made...

The level of targeted harassment against those of us who stand up to this bullying is beyond unacceptable. Staff members and UMAPs leaders are being hounded out of their workplaces, and those who challenge these tactics are subjected to relentless personal attacks. The…
This is the first I’m hearing of this accusation. I take such matters seriously and will be looking into it. However, I can state with certainty that I had personal guarantees for the company’s debt from the outset and continued to pay it off even after leaving. COVID ultimately…

Funny how much effort is going into smearing an "inconsequential" trade union this week; almost as petty as when a so-called champion of justice tried to stop PAs from getting legal representation. For clarity: the "Ltd company" is just an admin body. The union is UMAPs TU, and…
Good to see brave GPs like @ClareGerada speak out. I have resigned my fellowship of the RCGP- a bullying organisation doesn’t represent me
Good to see the BMA addressing the behaviour of it's officers, reps and members. I look forward to hearing the steps it's taking to remind people of how to remain civil whilst advocating for their beliefs. lbc.co.uk/news/uk/nhs-ph…

Amazing... apart from the threat, the obvious nuance of the fact these people have had their jobs obliterated and that there are NO PA jobs nationally, hasn't quite reached home yet. These people would grossly never have the opportunity to work as a PA again after what has…
Do you know what happens to people who challenge their employers in court? If not I suggest that you find out. Even if you win.
Recent claims regarding the financing of our legal cases are factually incorrect. The majority of Physician Associates (PAs) involved in this case approached UMAPs after the events in question, requiring us to step in and find ways to protect their rights. A significant number…
Hi @pa_StephenNash 👋 Can you clarify please A PA pays membership (£240-£450/yr) to UMAPs LTD, then donates to your legal fund, & now finds out they need to pay an additional £2k to be included in the legal action with UMAPs taking 35% of any settlement Have I got that right?
😂😂😂 no... Imagine what would happen if as doctors you could have these really experienced professionals with multi professional skillsets coming to help you! ... Let's call them... associates... We could all work together to make things better for patients and doctors! And…
Did @DHSCgovuk help CMAPs set up its submission portal? Where is the submission portal for doctors? I think any communications between C/UMAPs, NHSE, GMC, DHSC should be made available so we can see if there is any collusion
This is so over dramatic it’s ridiculous, no one is replacing doctors, PA’s works along side doctors and trying to scare the public that it’s anything more than that is unethical. I will be contacting the Leng review to tell them of the excellent experiences I’ve had with PA’s.
I mean... I guess that's a compliment and a vote of confidence that you think our data collection system is that good it must be done by the big orgs 😂 I'll feed it back to the team. Also, everyone at the review was asked to collect evidence.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention CMAPs seems to have details on format for submitting evidence for Leng Nash keeps on about “have been asked to submit evidence for Leng” Has NHSE & DHSC help written all over it while Drs & Pts haven’t been invited cmaps.org.uk/leng-review-po…
