From responses to my doubts it is odd how those who are so concerned about patient safety when it suits (eg PAs) don’t mention safety at all when defending claims that F1 doctors are independently making life and death medical decisions at all hours of day and night.
The way some F1s describe their role it’s a wonder we need any more senior Drs in hospitals at all.
@wesstreeting will act “immediately” @lengreview found no safety concerns and had positive GP/patient feedback on PAs What will you do “immediately” for the 40,000 undifferentiated patients turning up to see a PA up and down the country this week? As they have for 10+ years…
Well said. Why the General Medical Council should discipline doctors who misuse social media bmj.com/content/388/bm…
They were always going to move on to ACP/ANPs next
How can an ACP work to a level of a ct3 when they can't even pass a 1st year med school exam?
➡️Leng Whitewash? Will they accept the findings of the Leng review? Even if the outcome doesn’t show widespread patient safety concerns? Will they “persist and persist” PAs have been bullied, PAs are seeking support from mental health services, some PAs are off sick due to this.

The BMA does not represent all doctors. This GP has first hand experience of the safe care PAs provide. Thank you to all doctors who continue to support PAs, and advocate for an evidenced based approach.

I utterly condemn the far-right thuggery we have seen this weekend. Be in no doubt: those who have participated in this violence will face the full force of the law.
Ken Murphy is Tesco’s UK CEO and the highest paid supermarket boss. He gets £9,930,000 a year, but is registered to pay tax in the Republic of Ireland. Not a penny of his outrageous salary is collected in tax, despite almost all Tesco’s earnings coming from the UK. It’s theft.
It’s so hard to imagine Dominic Raab being a bully when you read his snarling, rage-filled, unapologetic, bitter, twisted, blame-shifting, treacherous resignation letter.
