As horrific as 2020 has been in many ways, it has genuinely been the best year of my life. I’m struggling my way through 4th year of medical school, but in November we welcomed my beautiful son, Teddy, to the world 💙

Guy who gets paid £300 per day just for turning up at a job he inherited, even if he just sits there on his arse, has a dig at a worker who has the audacity to spend his disposable income on something that isn’t essential merely to survive.
That's very inspiring, Chris. What sort of champagne is your favourite? Are all doctors entitled to champagne? Are taxpayers's entitled to champagne, or is it just for doctors?
Last time you said we wanted the tories out. This time you claim we want to damage Labour. Pick one for the love of god
'They want to do damage to the Labour government.' @IainDale says there is a 'political element' to the doctors' strikes and it's 'disgraceful'.
Remember that time I said I’d got paid more in two weeks in Australia than I did in a month in the NHS in England and loads of people got mad about it? Fully support the doctors strikes and if we don’t we know where they’ll go. Where they are respected and treated like valued…
Yes, your eyes do not deceive you. This is Lord Bethell, who inherited a Barony from his exceptionally wealthy family, and was handed all the opportunities he’s had in life on a silver plate. Suggesting that a doctor shouldn’t have more money because he once drank a glass of fizz
That's very inspiring, Chris. What sort of champagne is your favourite? Are all doctors entitled to champagne? Are taxpayers's entitled to champagne, or is it just for doctors?
Welcome to day 2. Today we strike again to show the Government that we’re not backing down until we have a credible offer. Stick Together. Strike Together. Win Together. #PayRestoration
Blu is proper on one, bit of fame has gone to his head. ‘I told you I was never leaving’ Should have stayed home mate
Doctors play a vital role at key moments in our lives. They care for us. They cure us. They do not take the decision to strike lightly. They are striking for an extra £4 per hour for first year doctors with £100,000 student debt. The government needs to move on this. Solidarity
Northern doctors sent a clear message today that no doctor is worth less than a doctor in 2008 The power to end these strikes lies squarely with @wesstreeting - he must make a meaningful offer to reverse our pay erosion and continue the journey to fair pay #DoctorsStrike
I’d love to know what your favourite champagne is too Lord Bethell ? @JimBethell Do I need to say more @drchriscarson ?
That's very inspiring, Chris. What sort of champagne is your favourite? Are all doctors entitled to champagne? Are taxpayers's entitled to champagne, or is it just for doctors?
It’s not the BMA “undermining the trade union movement”. It’s a Labour Prime Minister, writing in the Murdoch press, urging junior doctors to break with their union leadership. That’s a direct attack on trade unionism. Solidarity with @TheBMA and junior doctors on strike.
Keir Starmer: Resident doctors should break ranks with the BMA leadership. The industrial action that starts on Friday is in no one’s interests and medics should not follow their union down its dangerous and destructive route, he says. thetimes.com/article/3fdcd5…
Apparently the plebs aren’t allowed champagne

Solidarity with the BMA! ❤️✊️ Wes asking you to "break rank" is pitiful, you all have our full support following your membership's democratic decision to take strike action. Unlike Wes and the current Labour party, trade unions like the BMA keep their promises to members.

We can't afford to lose doctors. @RachelReevesMP, the chancellor, said last year that resolving the doctor pay dispute is "a drop in the ocean" for the government. Paying doctors 22.67£/hr to keep them here is a no brainer.
Doctors are fleeing the NHS. Every year, 20 000 doctors are leaving the profession prematurely - many because their pay no longer reflects the weight of the job. The real question isn’t whether we can afford to pay doctors. It’s whether we can afford the cost of losing them.
At the picket @DocShivSharma and I had a chat with a patient who had suffered a stroke & was treated by the NHS. He was supportive & thinks doctors are worth more than £18 an hour. Doctors, the public who use the NHS support you, even if MPs with their private healthcare don’t.
No doctor working today is worth 21% less than in 2008. A first year doctor working through the night to give life saving treatment to all our loved ones is worth more than £18.62/hour All we are asking is they are paid £22.67/ hour. It’s a bargain @LidlGB @wesstreeting
Sending my support for #Resident doctors today. Fully behind the #Strike. Anybody who doesn’t support them doesn’t understand the issues around the dangers of doctor shortages, long A+E waits, Exit Block and its effects on patient mortality and morbidity. #BMA
Community note. ☠️
We promised 1,000 more GPs this year. We've delivered double that. 2,000 new GPs hired — delivering millions more appointments and making sure the NHS is there for everyone, whenever they need it. Our Plan for Change in action.
Today has filled me both with indignation and inspiration simultaneously. Indignation, because I witnessed the worst of 14 years of Conservative failure and the real consequences of cancelling the building of schools for the future. But inspiration, because I met the most…
Thank you @jeremycorbyn for visiting our regional WM @BMAResidents doctors picket line. Where is @wesstreeting? No doctor wants to strike. We want to be at work doing what we spent years training for. Today, we stand together @TheBMA because there's no other choice.
