To be fascist is an admission of failure. They want to force the world to march because they fear they cannot dance.
Private medical insurance is so cheap in the UK because the NHS effectively subsidises it by: - Training staff - Handling emergencies - Caring for complex & chronic cases - Bailing out private hospitals when things go wrong US insurance is 5-10x as much because there’s no NHS!
The average cost of private medical care in the U.K. is £79.59. How much do people spend on Sky, Netflix, Spotify etc…? Most people can afford private medical and should take it out. Brilliant service, privately run and fast access and delivery.
Wikipedia is currently in a legal battle with the UK government to try and stop the platform being censored in the UK - or even completely blocked - thanks to the Online Safety Act.
It's interesting, we were forced to pay the Water Companies nearly £5bn more a year in April, which will be stolen and definately not spent on the network. But we can't afford to pay the Doctors £0.7bn a year because it is unaffordable.
.@BBCNews, stop reporting numbers without context. 110 ton? Sounds big, but that's only ~157,000 meals for a population where 500,000 are in catastrophic conditions. Gaza needs 2k-5k tons/day. In a famine, people need specialised treatment and foods, clean water, and medical care
Leicester surgical department have removed a trade union representative from work opportunities because of union activity. This is unlawful, known as: 1. Detriment (TULRCA 1992 s146) 2. Blacklisting (Employment Relations Act 1999 (Blacklists) Regs 2010) @Leic_hospital…
Removing a trade union representative from a locum group chat and then retrospectively deleting their messages is not a good look @Leic_hospital. Trade union representatives have protection against detriment under the TULRCA. I would advise you remind Mr Butt of that.
Solidarity with our English resident doctor colleagues as they start their strikes. Doctors are not worth less than 18years ago. Volume of work is higher, staffing levels are lowest ever, job security is gone, and medical complexity +++. They do not do this lightly.
I’ve noticed something . Every time @Melissa_S_Ryan @RossNieuwoudt or anyone else is on live tv or radio and mention that a physician assistant is paid more than a Dr there is either an interruption, an ad break , they cut the clip altogether or cut the interview short. Why ?
Given the Labour Party's policy rollouts and support of Israel's genocide in Gaza, would you ever vote Labour again?
We know why Wes Streeting refuses to negotiate with Doctors. He wants the strikes to go ahead, so he can blame doctors for his failures as health secretary.
Most disabled people don’t claim disability benefits… Many of those would be eligible, but they either choose not to, or are alienated from the process by how horrific it is. People vastly overestimate how many claim, how we are deemed eligible, and how much we get.
People of England: as your life flashes before you on the grubby floor of a NHS-Sponsored-By-PizzaHut HealthHub, Dave the PA yelling into his phone “Siri, what’s a tracheotomy”, all the while jabbing your neck with a coffee spoon, remember this. We Told You So.
No doctor working today is worth 21% less than in 2008. A first year doctor working through the night to give life saving treatment to all our loved ones is worth more than £18.62/hour All we are asking is they are paid £22.67/ hour. It’s a bargain @LidlGB @wesstreeting
Hey @wesstreeting looks like you and Mackey need to be resigning asap
It appears both Jim Mackey & Wes Streeting are threatening Resident Doctors with ‘detriment’ as a result of a legal strike They need to check the law More importantly negotiate a better pay deal with commitment to pay restoration or if they are unable, ask ACAS @wesstreeting
A government scheme that focused extra workplace funding on disabled people with higher support needs had a positive impact on both employees and employers, according to new research released just as ministers are seeking cuts to a wider programme. disabilitynewsservice.com/scheme-that-pr…
The best part of running this account is seeing how my tweets can influence. Seeing my tweets posted on doc groups. Seeing others use it as the basis of their tweets. And then there is the other stuff.
The free food @wesstreeting is promising Resident Doctors.
Don't forget @RhonddaBryant is up to his neck in the blood of slaughtered Palestinians
