There are several reasons I can’t work, I’m going to list some of them here… not for justification, but for awareness of what it’s really like to have multiple co-occurring conditions… 1/🧵

"I was fired for my political beliefs" Yeah, if you publicly admit you're a Fascist then you deserve to be. An employer has a duty to keep it's staff and customers/clients safe.

When people say “the state pension isn’t a benefit”, what they are really trying to say is that they don’t want to see it as a benefit because they have huge bias about the term “benefits”. It is also a failure of education that they don’t understand the facts about SP.

If you are able to afford one, I can strongly advise getting a dehumidifier. They are a total game changer when it comes to drying clothes in cold & wet weather, and managing condensation throughout the house. And if you find the right one, they’re relatively cheap to run too.

The patriarchy doesn't to admit woman is a social construct because they want you to believe the oppression of women is natural.. It's that simple and any "feminist" who supports the idea woman is a natural category upholds the patriarchy.

The success of those at the top is that they keep convincing enough people that they're not the real problem... And that the real problem is the most vulnerable. It's not formed in any logic. It's pure privilege and bigotry. But enough people believe it to keep up the harm.

The true essence of humanity is being shown in Southport. Not the racists or the riots… not hate… But the love the communities and families have show. The fundraising for the new school playground in memory of the girls who were murdered. This is community and how to do it.

A big issue with tests, scans, etc., is that they’re almost never done when your symptoms are flaring/at their worst, and even then it’s just a single snapshot in time, so many dynamic conditions won’t show up.

It's totally okay not to have your shit together and to acknowledge that life can be a struggle. It's also totally okay to acknowledge you need additional support and can't do it all yourself.

After a bowel blockage, things don’t just go back to normal. There’s days of dehydration, body aches, blood pressure issues, more bowel symptoms, and having a very inflamed gastrointestinal system, where it’s like you’ve been repeatedly punched in the stomach.

Bunch of morally corrupt, ableist, privileged, Democidal wankers. Society has failed in the very basic principles of protecting the most vulnerable.

We know who constitutes the biggest danger to women in this county - men they know. And out of those, it's men who are, or have been their partner. Three of my close family members have experienced serious domestic violence. That's not unusual.

If you have to go after the most vulnerable in society to make things "work"... Your society has failed.

No, you’re not superior just because you’re not disabled. No, you’re not superior just because you don’t claim benefits. No, you’re not superior just because you’re able to work. Disabled people aren’t the problem. Ableism is.

Being anti-trans is so clearly aligned with far-right, Patriarchal ideology. If it was really about feminism, you wouldn't have the worst men in society supporting it.

Honestly cannot comprehend how pathetic and sad someone’s life must be “You know what, I’m going to be a dick to disabled people today” It’s so tragic when you think about it.

Sometimes going through endless tests, appointments, etc... can be so draining that we choose not to do it. That's not because we don't want help... It's because we simply don't have the energy or capacity to go through it all when we 99% know what the answer will be.

Every time someone says it's "illegal" for a trans person to use a toilet... Ask them which specific law they'll be prosecuted under, and watch them fail to answer and prove they don't understand the law.
