Doctors' assistants are earning almost 47% more than a fully qualified doctor in London. Even with full pay restoration, doctors would still be earning less than their assistants. Paying doctors £22.67/hr would still be a bargain for this country.

Funny how @KemiBadenoch doesn’t support doctors striking because we have a mandate, but does support nurses because they don’t have a mandate to strike. When nurses call for strike action doctors will be in full support. No worker should be paid less than they were in 2008.

First @KemiBadenoch comes for doctors’ right to strike. Who’s next, the nurses? This is a desperate attempt by the Conservatives to stay relevant as they tank in the polls. NHS staff are united. We won’t be silenced. We’re fighting for fair pay, and we’re not backing down.

The sad irony being that full pay restoration for resident doctors would cost less than this. At just £1.3bn approx if you did it overnight. And to be clear, @BMAResidents aren’t even asking for it overnight. They’re happy to negotiate a journey via a multiyear deal. #WinWin

No doctor working today is worth 21% less than in 2008. A first year doctor working through the night to give life saving treatment to all our loved ones is worth more than £18.62/hour All we are asking is they are paid £22.67/ hour. It’s a bargain @LidlGB @wesstreeting

It’s not the BMA “undermining the trade union movement”. It’s a Labour Prime Minister, writing in the Murdoch press, urging junior doctors to break with their union leadership. That’s a direct attack on trade unionism. Solidarity with @TheBMA and junior doctors on strike.
