Thank you for highlighting @IncogAssociate I'm happy to address this publicly. 🧵 It is interesting to note that the tweets you have cherry picked were written a matter of weeks into the course. (1/7)
I missed this in the @RCPhysicians call with @Mumtaz_Patel_1 Pleased to see my plans for PRCP calls are being followed but these results are shocking Members and Fellows feel their college is corrupt, complacent, spineless, unresponsive and worrying This on a day when…
We should talk about @RCPhysicians and who they are. They had a Meet the President meeting with FRCPs (MRCP plebs weren’t invited), attended by only 46 FRCPs, who were invited to contribute to a word cloud about what they thought of the RCP (Img passed on to me anonymously) 1/
🚨 FAO Physician Assistants When I spoke to Prof Leng, she told me many doctors felt that PAs could have a really important role assisting doctors in the NHS. I agreed, and added my voice to what I still believe is a strong case for an assistant role, which I believe could be…
This is disturbing I hear there are PAs who are critical of Nash & his @UMAPsUK NEC who have supposedly infiltrated every PA group & silenced any PA voices critical of them🥺 They feel Nash doesn’t represent them, but has been given voice on national stage due to his“links” 1/n
Just had a conversation with a doctor. A London A&E is already gaming the system They require PAs to discuss the patient with a Reg or Con before being seen The patient is now considered differentiated And they can see the patient as before Including majors and…
#LengReview #PhysicianAssociates #NHS - government accepts all recommendation. Implemenation report in the autumn You can read full response in Hansard hansard.parliament.uk/lords/2025-07-…
In a previous rotation I covered for the haem SHO. I had completed MRCP part 1 and 2 at the time, and had been a doctor for three years. The idea of me working on a haem reg rota would have been a joke. Yet an ACP with no haem experience can do so. This is bananas
Good to see some solid guidance coming from the colleges. Kicking and screaming. What took them so long?
The introduction of Physician Associates in the NHS has raised serious concerns among some of our members. We support several changes the Leng Review has proposed, but there's still work to be done to define how PAs work with our specialties. Read more: rcr.ac.uk/news-policy/la…
The assistant role finally has the assistant title for all to understand.
@UMAPsUK yes the logical conclusion is that there is no need for PAs . Top tip : When doing the media rounds begin with condolences to Emily’s family, not doing this makes it look like you only care about pretending to be a Dr - not patient safety .
Thank you to Council @RCPhysicians for confirming decision of Censors. Not unexpected given that same Council voted FOR Associate Membership for PAs-even after #RCPEGM -and got halted by me exposing that in public. To the appeal next. And then next steps. And there are so many…
Anyone heard from @JimBethell today? What’s up babe, you’ve barely touched your Leng review x
Congratulations to @ERunswickBMA who has been re-elected Deputy Chair of BMA Council
It looks like @lengreview recommends @RCPhysicians and other colleges should establish Faculties for PAs We have to ensure the abject failures of the RCP in hosting the FPA for a decade from 2014 are not repeated Faculties for Physician Assistants must have robust framework…
I think the Leng review is unfinished business with next steps but it certainly does a good job at capturing a lot of the issues. It admits it is not conclusive and not the end but a moment to consolidate the debate. The next steps are dependent on strong medical leadership…
RCP councillor faces year’s suspension after social media “breaches” bmj.com/content/390/bm… I am ashamed to be part of @RCPhysicians and its treatment of @parthaskar When one stands up for Right and met with derision @DrAsifQasim @Molly2323232323 @TYoungstein @DrHWazir
After @RCPhysicians recent treatment of @parthaskar I will be moving my membership to @RCPEdin. I was so proud when I got MRCP (2010) but I cannot associate myself with this shambles of an organisation any more. A sad day. I urge others to do the same & I wish I’d done it sooner.
if this is ratified, will have to start the process for @RCPhysicians to remove me from the fellowship lists (and the billing!), one can still be a fellow but of a different royal college. Yes i believe in change from within, but there comes a point when enough is enough

Hi all, we have funding for two resident doctors- post fy2-st6 to a Hpb medical oncology clinical research fellowship in Birmingham. They would do our clinical trials clinic, a standard of care clinic and have two research days a week. Please let any suitable trainees know.
So Rihanna delayed her next album for a decade just to avoid being trapped in a car forced to do Carpool Karaoke with James Corden? I get it now.
James Corden admits he “tried for 8 years” to get Rihanna on ‘Carpool Karaoke’: “She would always say to me, ‘I will when the new album is out,’ and then I finished the show before that record came out. I literally would [start the show again, just for a week, if she drops the…
