“as I am sure you are already aware” Imagine they were as good at their job as they were confident. Maybe you wouldn’t have to arrange your own cover after having to take emergency leave because your parent died.
It seems that either @UHSFT don’t know the law or are trying to trick doctors out of their right to strike. Any resident doctor in England with BMA membership or no union membership can strike. You do not need to “register” with the BMA. Strike hard.
From someone who helped create this mess, this smug deflection is almost impressive. The usual ill-informed take from the permanently comfortable — baffled that doctors are angry while watching their profession gutted in real time. “Different groups celebrated” — sure.…
Massey CEO @gmcuk should have gone the day @wesstreeting called for Leng Review Massey was the DHSC insider sent by Hunt to GMC to make GMC register PAs. To blur lines,to hoodwink patients The review was needed because Medical Regulator under Massey had failed to protect patients
#AskForADoctor #TakeBackOurHealthcare
#askforadoctor RCGP Reg Chair Why do people think they have a right to career progression which involves plating doctor without going to medical school. Medicine is about patients not ones good given right to career progression
Replacing or nah ? 🥼able to cover GP sessions - cost effective alt 🥼involved in implementation of Dr substitution models 🥼extensive research in nurse-dr substitution 🥼work autonomously on medical middle grade rota 🥼senior decision maker same authority as middle grade dr
This morning a senior PA lecturer has said he has reported me to the GMC for misinformation. I was also called a troll. Happy to correct any misinformation but he wasn’t able to specify. Instead he deleted his FB account. I’m a dr concerned about pt safety. That’s it.
Just had a conversation with a doctor. A London A&E is already gaming the system They require PAs to discuss the patient with a Reg or Con before being seen The patient is now considered differentiated And they can see the patient as before Including majors and…

🚨London Doctors🚨 Did you know your London Weighting has been left behind compared to NHS colleagues and other public sector workers? How far behind, you ask? Take a look!👇🏼 Your @BMALondon will be launching our campaign to tackle this very soon!✊🏼 Watch this space! 👀
Since @RCPhysicians are keen on rescinding FRCPs, will they be rescinding the honorary FRCPs bestowed on a Physician Assistant from a former Registrar who had to resign in disgraceful circumstances? Promoting PAs to work as Dr substitute is not “exceptional services to Medicine”
Physician associate claims to have attended ‘medical school’ and studied 80% of graduate medicine in 2 yrs EIGHTY PERCENT! Is this what you’re teaching your PA students @CityStGeorges @CityStG_Health ?
This is from Warrington ED. I have some questions. - if there’s no consultant at night, has this ED been going against RCEM and BMA guidance and forcing residents to prescribe? - what is the cost effectiveness of a consultant seeing a patient THEN a PA seeing them, and isn’t…
A PA responding to a comment on ITV’s FB news page. “The only difference between a Dr and a PA is a year long prescriber course.” 🤔
