We're running to change LGBT+ Labour 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Join LGBT+ Labour now: https://www.lgbtlabour.org.uk/lgbt_labour_full_member_1500_2
Our statement on @LGBTLabour National Committee's decision to postpone the AGM. We fully intend to contest the LGBT+ Labour AGM. Trans rights are human rights 🏳️⚧️

Yesterday, we went to @LGBTLabour's social which was held in place of its postponed AGM. There's a lot to reflect on. But one thing is clear: LGBT+ Labour isn't working. In place of action, we got small talk. In place of democracy, we got spin. This isn't working.
The very fact that a gender-critical organisation such as @LabWomenDec endorses Ms Stephenson's appointment is clearly a concern not just to trans people but to all human rights advocates. @10DowningStreet @bphillipsonMP @AmnestyUK @libertyhq @ByDonkeys @Channel4News
"Bridget Phillipson... is set to overrule the women & equalities committee and the joint committee on human rights, whose members refused to endorse Stephenson as incoming chair of the EHRC" Sensible course of action by @10DowningStreet & @bphillipsonMP 1 thetimes.com/article/a7da1f…
It is legitimately sad to see how quickly the Secretary worked to remove Abe from the committee group chat and from our website. 20 minutes. He hasn't given us the constitution after asking 140 days ago, and it took him 20 minutes to reduce one of our best members to "vacant."
It's sad to see you go, Abe. But you're right, this isn't the Party we joined. As Membership Officer for LGBT Labour, you were one of the very few decent people on the committee. Even if they didn't give you access to the membership list. 🤦♀️ Take it easy Comrade. Solidarity.
It’s been the honour of my life to serve Fernhill since 2023. I stood on one promise: Fernhill First 🏡 Today, I’m leaving the Labour Party to serve as an Independent councillor - free from party lines, focused solely on residents. ✊ #FernhillFirst #Independent

This was the replacement for the elections they cancelled. Thought I'd add that, since they still haven't mentioned that publicly. Follow @transalliance25 to vote them out at the earliest opportunity.
Thank you to Minister for Equalities @NiaGriffithMP for attending our brunch social today ☕️🥪 We welcomed recommitments on introducing a trans-inclusive ban on conversion practices as soon as possible, and to see through the bill to make LGBT+ hate crime an aggravated offence.
Solidarity to @Tim_Roca, who the anti-progressive Telegraph has decided to round on this weekend 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
The latest Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) guidance presents significant concerns for trans youth, adults and our allies. While it acknowledges "gender reassignment" as a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010, requiring pupils to be taught about equality…
Sad to see that the brilliant @Tim_Roca is being attacked by the anti-trans lobby this afternoon for daring to suggest that trans people are people, worthy of dignity and liberty like anyone else. Solidarity to Tim and Macclesfield Labour from Leeds Central and Headingley 🌹
The Labour Party rule book requires that all affiliated organisations submit there rules books to the NEC. There should be no reason as why they aren't able to release it, and in most cases it would be entirely out of order not making the governing text of an organisation public.
Hi @LGBTLabour @Joe_DH @DavidBridson, my DMs are open for you to send across access to the LGBT+ Labour constitution. Members have been requesting it for some time now, and you've refused access. As members, we are entitled to see it. I'm waiting.
We’re here at the @LGBTLabour social event in London. Nearly an hour past the advertised start time, and still no sign of the committee, except for the secretary. Very telling.
In one hour from now, @LGBTLabour was due to have their AGM. Instead, they decided to deny members the choice of who they want to lead the fight for equality, solidarity, and justice. They have questions to answer. The @transalliance25 will continue this fight.
In an hour, the LGBT+ Labour committee becomes illegitimate. Members have been denied a vote, and @transalliance25 candidates denied the chance to participate. This isn’t democracy. It’s a shutdown of accountability.
As of Today, the LGBT Labour National Committee is run by an entirely unelected group of individuals for the first time in its 50-year history. Democracy has been abolished by the committee for the committee. Only three of us voted to keep it.
@LGBTLabour & @UKLabour's record this year: 1. Removal of essential healthcare for trans youth. 2. The removal of 20 years of trans rights and undermining of trans people's identities. 3. The reintroduction of Section 28. This time for Trans People.
Today is 20 years since @UKLabour repealed Section 28 in England and Wales. Our patron, @angelaeagle, reflects on the progress made in the fight for LGBT+ rights, and the long journey still ahead.
@LGBTLabour: We are deeply distressed that an organisation that should be supporting trans people may, in fact, be considering discriminating against them. We stand with all trans and non-binary candidates across all political parties, including @transalliance25 5/5
We're still waiting to hear from @LGBTLabour. Members deserve transparency. Find out how you can help us 👇 prideinlabour.org.uk/post/we-demand…
There wasn't significant discussion, there was an hour long meeting where all of you said "I agree" then canceled your own election. If this is significant legal risk, then I face significant legal risk every time I use the loo because of this Party and Committee's inaction.
That's not even close to accurate. There was significant discussion, but frankly it's amazing that people are willing to expose volunteers to such significant legal risk. People on twitter are talking absolute nonsense about LGBT Lab with no sense of what's actually happening.
