🧵Back in 2023 I commenced a project to celebrate some of the women in the UK who have stood up for women's sex-based rights. I was inspired by the banners created by women's suffrage campaigners and decided to produce textile art in celebration of these women.

I do have a degree in gender studies, and the fact that it didn't teach me not to be a terf was deeply disappointing to some of my fellow students. But it is sometimes fun to be able to mention it!
I've been told so many times that my position is ignorant because I don't have a degree in gender studies. But I don't have a qualification in homeopathy either - because it's nonsense. Training people in nonsense belief systems just makes them more stupid and more wrong.

Met a nurse who told me the hospital in Derby replaced all the nurses uniforms with a version to fit the one man pretending to be a woman. They’re too tight at the hip & too baggy at the waist. The nurses are afraid to complain in case they are disciplined for being transphobic.

A reminder that this decision was made democratically by the members of the Kenwood Ladies’ Pond Association. More proof that Sex Matters is just an anti-trans lobby group that doesn’t represent the vast majority of women’s views.
I think MC was being polite! She said that she did "wonder". In any case, this rather destroys Upton's argument that he had to use the women's CR or risk being "outed". He was more than happy to tell everyone in the department.
MC one of 2 consultants who interviewed Beth Upton for role in department. HR checks done with Disclosure Scotland, OH, GMC & nothing raised. 1st aware that Upton was trans status because she told her. Upton asked MC if she knew she was trans and MC said she hadn't been certain.
