I so clearly remember watching the episode of SpongeBob where they adopt a baby clam and immediately sort into 1950s gender roles with Patrick being a complete deadbeat. It ends with the clam flying away and Patrick going “let’s have another”. Parents thought it was hilarious.

We need a Liberal Party that is radically pro liberty, pro market, and pro efficient and substantial social safety net. Tax externalities then get out the way when it comes to consumer choice.
I think this is a low key secret thing that hurts Democrats in politics. We're always calling to take away people's straws, light bulbs, e-cigarettes, shower heads, etc. We're the party of You Can't Have What You Want, and voters remember that and choose the other guys.
