Steve Reed is right. We should focus on facts. So let's start with eight claims made to @krishgm 1. The £100bn figure. This makes no sense and is not credibly evidenced. The true and fair value in law is close to zero. Legal expert @ewan_mg unpacks common-wealth.org/perspectives/h…
“I'm not going to focus on ideology." It would cost £100bn to nationalise water companies and the government would have to take that money from the NHS and education, Environment Secretary Steve Reed tells @krishgm
Absolutely insane defence, "can't reduce risk to 0 so might as well not bother trying to reduce risk at all"
He says that while setting hard limits on the scope of PA/AA roles might reduce risks, such an approach would not eliminate risk completely.
Good luck to everyone working the bank holiday weekend! Never forget the F1 is the lowest paid person in the hospital during a bank Holiday.
Often I don't comment on twitter, BUT the UK high court ruling today saying there is no confusion between doctors/physicians and PAs (Physician Associates) by misspelling on the first page @RCPhysicians calling them the Royal college of PAs is embarrassing beyond belief!
(2) is surely a mistake? There is no Royal College of Physician Associates
🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read. He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug…
Just figured out where these fake tariff rates come from. They didn't actually calculate tariff rates + non-tariff barriers, as they say they did. Instead, for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us. So we…
It's also important to understand that the tariff rates that foreign countries are supposedly charging us are just made-up numbers. South Korea, with which we have a trade agreement, is not charging a 50% tariff on U.S. exports. Nor is the EU charging a 39% tariff.

UPDATE: It has now been confirmed that @sashnhs has ignored the Prevention of Future Deaths notice issued by the Coroner, as well as the latest guidance from @RCollEM As of 13 March, Physician Associates continue to be used as ‘Tier 2’ clinicians in East Surrey Hospital ED
🚨 NEW: Pamela Marking, 77, died after being misdiagnosed by a physician associate at @sashnhs. But @sashnhs never reported her death as a patient safety incident, and no internal investigation took place Concerns were only raised after a medical examiner reviewed the case 👇

In the single nationwide system called Oriel, if you press accept for one speciality, you automatically withdraw any offers & further consideration from other specialities. If they try to rescind, you've lost all job offers. This is unacceptable @NHSEngland. You can't do this.
Doctors received offers for Radiology training posts at around 3-4pm. They were able to accept these offers on Oriel and received confirmation of acceptance. Offers then began to disappear on Oriel. At 6:30pm they received this email. Simply unacceptable.

Two anaesthetists = two lists staffed. One anaesthetist supervising two AAs = two lists staffed. What have I missed?
All grad entry medics know this Can have 1st in biomedical sciences and it’s not a patch on real medicine because it’s not just book learning, is history taking, clinical skills, personality development, how to manage difficult situations while using all the skills & knowledge

I remember this question (had something identical in my fourth year exams) and remember being very aggravated that it could actually be several of the options and a good history was needed. Ultimately obviously it’s an SBA and I knew the correct answer but I spent some time…
