.@nytimes must end this kind of bias: "...when a female fencer declined to compete against her transgender opponent at a midlevel meet." The fencer declined to compete against her male opponent. It's not about bigotryโ keeping trans people out of female sports. It's aboutโฆ
โIt was jaw-dropping stuff. Where has my profession gone? This session was meant to be about developing policy for everyone. Why was it being hijacked by an exclusively trans discussion? It was assumed that if you said anything in accordance with the law it was discriminatory.โ

If Western democracies were to unite and defeat the russian fascist invaders it would solve a host of the worldโs problems. The last of the colonial empires would be abolished. The biggest state supporter of terrorism would be gone. China would be thwarted and Taiwan saved.

Hardly. All options have been closed down by FWS1 and FWS2. Jane Russellโs legal submissions have nowhere to go. Thanks @ForWomenScot!
Bit concerning to hear the Judge state that FWS SC ruling is a contentious matter?
Our ruling is not contentious or a hypothesis. It's straightforward. According to the Equality Act, as NC says, Upton is legally and biologically a man. It isn't for Jane Russell to relitigate this at a tribunal.
NC - man. He's insisted he's entitled to be there, focus on that. JR - unfair premise, DU is not a man, a she's a TW NC - .. J - there was an objection NC - DU is a TW and so DU is a man. Legally speaking in FWS EQA he's a man JR - FWS not agreed J - we need to hear submissions
This is excellent. Gender Identity Ideology is treated as if it is true. GC belief is treated as a wacky religious sect to be reluctantly tolerated. This exactly inverts the reality of the situation.
How should newsrooms report on cases where the law protects gender-critical beliefs but does not give the same status to gender identity ideology? With courts defining these as distinct, are broadcasters meeting impartiality and accuracy standardsโor bein wp.me/pa8IVH-3xb

The @EHRC should engage with a wide range of interest groups, including those that are disappointed at the #SupremeCourtโs ruling. But it cannot do its job and appease people who do not accept the definition of man and woman in law, and it should not try to.

๐The draft decisions conclude that the UK continues to offer data protection safeguards equivalent to those of the EU. These decisions will now be reviewed by the European Data Protection Board and Member States. The @Europarl_EN can also make use of its right to scrutiny.
