The BBC has added the Women’s Rights tag to its Peggie coverage, and it’s gone back through older Peggie content and added it there. It shouldn’t have needed a chivvy, but good. It’s also moderated its tone away from the heaviest trans framing. Shame it needed a chivvy there too.
What happens when a belief system becomes an enforced orthodoxy? If employees or journalists dissent from dominant ideologies, should that be treated as heresy or lawful disagreement? @JournalismSEEN wp.me/pa8IVH-3xC
Is the workplace becoming a site of ideological enforcement? Recent tribunal cases have raised an important question: when does inclusion policy move from managing behaviour to compelling belief? The distinction between dissent and heresy is at the heart of this debate. Dissent…
The Sandie Peggie case has made it very clear that use of chosen pronouns involves taking a side. It’s an almost universal practice for news outlets but where it should be taken most seriously is by those outlets with a duty of impartiality. /
Can music lift us beyond the chaos of modern life? In our latest Distraction Therapy mix, we explore Schopenhauer's idea of aesthetic transcendence—how sound offers a momentary release from endless striving. What happens when we just listen? radiolear.uk/?p=3306
What does it mean to reject the system yet still feel deeply? Schopenhauer scorned Hegel’s abstractions—but is that tension still alive in our music and art scenes today? Where does your creativity draw the line between resistance and reconciliation? radiolear.uk/?p=3312
The @LordsCommsCom Media Literacy report recognises the risks of low investment and calls for critical thinking. But should a national strategy be centralised, or driven by local voices and community experience? wp.me/pa8IVH-3xu
The Behind the Screen report calls on Public Service Broadcasters to share build transparent, user-focused platforms. By embracing open standards and decentralised models, PSBs can create fairer, more creative, and socially valuable digital spaces wp.me/pa8IVH-3xo

It was a pleasure to speak w/@decenteredmedia about photography, creative public health research & social practice. I discuss intergenerational trauma and how I navigated my way towards empathy while photographing abandoned textile mills in Leicester. decentered.co.uk/reimagining-ca…
Thanks @Baroness_Nichol Ofcom has told us there will be no review until 2026. Their last review was based on interviews with trans and non-binary focus groups and interviewees. They are out of date and in breach of impartiality.

This is excellent. Gender Identity Ideology is treated as if it is true. GC belief is treated as a wacky religious sect to be reluctantly tolerated. This exactly inverts the reality of the situation.
How should newsrooms report on cases where the law protects gender-critical beliefs but does not give the same status to gender identity ideology? With courts defining these as distinct, are broadcasters meeting impartiality and accuracy standards—or bein wp.me/pa8IVH-3xb
It would appear from the evidence from A&E consultant Kate Searle that she thinks there is no "kind" way to raise an issue with a male doctor being in a female changing room at work if he happens to identify as female. And therein lies the madness of gender ideology.
KS - policy said intimidating or offensive in way you say, that's enough. If everyone was kind and said things another say there was no need for it to come to this. NC - think briefly about another person, not a man who thinks/wishes he was a woman - a man in mans clothes - Pete
This is fantastic - a must read from @decenteredmedia

How should we ensure that individuals who hold sincere philosophical beliefs—such as that sex is biological and immutable—are treated with respect and without hostility, while maintaining lawful and open discussion? These are my beliefs wp.me/pa8IVH-3xg
This was a very welcome comment. My judgment does, oddly, imply that GC and GII are "equally protected." The judge yesterday clarified that that is not true. Gender Identity Ideology has never been tested for Grainger compliance. It's hard to see how it would pass.
One of the points usefully clarified in yesterday's hearing for @McBrideVersus is that comments in his original judgment which might be read as deeming gender ID ideology a protected belief should not be read that way. Only absence of GC belief is protected, not the GI credo.
