This morning @clairebakermsp & I met with Sandie Peggie, who I have spoken in support of in Parliament. Sandie has 30 years’ service as a nurse at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy & should never have had to take legal action to uphold her right to change in a single sex space.

Unprecedented intervention by the Information Commissioner and shows serious concern about NHS Fife. The statement from NHS Fife victimises counsel, witness and Sandie Peggie. It must be withdrawn and an apology given. The SNP need to get a grip - this is their health board.

As a feminist academic & member of the @SexMattersOrg advisory group can I advise @nhsfife that if it did not want this case to blow up across mainstream & social media it should have upheld the law on the provision of single sex female changing rooms.

She had been completely abandoned by the organisation and her union. While I was restricted in what support I could give with an employment case, signposting to @SexMattersOrg was absolutely 💯 essential.
I believe this is the first time it has been made public that the hearing was located at the last minute from Edinburgh to Dundee because of threats made against Sandie Peggie's team.
Dundee [changed] because of threats made against the Claimant’s legal team. At that time the Claimant did not state these affairs nor attribute them because quite obviously doing so would have been entirely improper during proceedings. Paragraphs 3 and 4 of this press statement
