The NHS has sent lots of children for private assessments via “choose and book”, people were getting nervous about accepting them. Parents aren’t coping, schools aren’t coping.
UK govt to review state pension age (SPA). SPA rising to 67 in 2026-28. Further rises likely. Rich retire whenever they want. Others work till bones ache. Life on low wage and low pension. Many won't live long enough to get pension. It is euthanasia. independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi…
A psychologist says some of his discipline warned about the harms of "over-medicalisation", that no one in power paid attention, but not why they’re taking notice ie using it as an excuse to cut benefits by invalidating people’s conditions.
19 yr old Reform councillor accused of hypocrisy after proposing to spend £150,000 on hiring political advisers despite pledging to cut waste and save money.

#UCBill DPAC wants to say a huge thank you to all of you who campaigned really hard against the cuts to Universal Credit however you were involved online or on the street you fought tirelessly. The vote on the regret motion was voted down We fight on , please don’t give up

GP Amir Khan: "These are human beings, they're not economic units.. yes we do need to help some people back to work, but pointing the finger at the sick to help the economy I don't think is the right approach" Well said doctor #GMB
Interesting exposé of the cult of meditation and it's relationship with psychological wellbeing. My book, Team Of One, shows similar contradictions with Zen Psyonics. midpsy.uk/2024/12/27/tea…
This week's free-to-read essay is already proving controversial. In it, I critique fashionable but bad ideas from Eastern spirituality and accuse Buddhists of being "utterly and incurably self-obsessed and self-interested." Link below!
I hate the fact two signifiers that once meant a lot to me - 'trauma-informed' and 'co-production' - have now been co-opted so that they actually make me squirm.

“Show your papers” is not a healthy default for a free society. Requiring ID to use the internet turns a tool of liberation into one of control.
My NHS diagnoses aren’t all listed in my GP record 😭 what hope is there for private ones?
I moved to a new GP in 2023. 1st appointment with Dr end of 23. No dx of Bipolar on record, dx’d 7 years by then. ‘Let me add that as a significant condition’ she said. Check you dx’s via NHS app, in fact check as much information as you can, my record are strewn with errors.🙄😡
That is sobering
the fact the Universal credit bill had its first and second debate and then was passed through the Lords in less time than how often people get uc (every 4-5 weeks) is a fucking travesty
Labour woman: condescendingly trying to reassure about fluctuating conditions. Says WCA allows for fluctuating conditions. But its not about WCA - its about Severe Conditions Criteria. #TakingThePIP

The Universal Credit Bill has passed. The Motion of Regret did not. I am heartbroken. We got powerful truths spoken in the Lords which may help later in legal and public fights. But.... What is this thing called Labour. Not something I morally recognise Love to all x
