Central Texas was devastated by the recent floods affecting countless lives and leaving many in urgent need of help. This Thursday, July 10th, all 36 P. Terry’s locations will donate 100% of profits to the Austin Disaster Relief Network’s “Central Texas Flood” campaign.
It's easily a once-in-1,000 year rainfall event for west #Chicago (based on NOAA estimates). 7 inches of rain in 3 hours, including up to 4 inches in ONE hour, is nearly unprecedented for the region. Major flash flooding is ongoing (and very localized!). #ILwx #CHIwx
The NOAA weather radio is like a smoke alarm for weather alerts (tornado, flash floods etc). It will wake you from a deep sleep. It reads out the warning. It doesn't depend on cell service/power. Do you have one? Learn more about them here: weather.gov/phi/nwrfaq
Tropical moisture moving into the Mid-Atlantic will bring chances for showers and thunderstorms this week, with heavy rain and localized flooding possible, particularly near Maryland and Virginia.
