There’s two #tornado warned storms on the line over northern Maine. It’s over very sparsely populated areas but moving into somewhat more population. These could spin a tornado up at any time. #MEwx

One thing that is really annoying: a lot of these smaller counties here in Mississippi don't even have personal emails listed for their emergency managers or staff. It makes it hard to reach out and communicate to them.

The hottest number on the map is right over me. You can also clearly see where the ridges and troughs are just by following the temperatures. It's cool out west...and HOT in the south.

And like clockwork it went away in the night. It’s even hotter today!

This week, I've added nearly a dozen additional #tornado shelters to the map, entirely in north Mississippi as I've taken another look at the counties there. That's an area with many such shelters, but more keep getting added. #MSwx

In other words, the warnings were EXCELLENT and the track was accurate. This could have easily had an hour or more advance notice. Why so much loss of life? I think some didn't get the warnings being nighttime, plus they had nowhere safe to go for such a strong tornado. #KYwx
