This is a real post. By NBC News. What a time to be alive. LOL
The final days of a Seattle cat were spent in "terror" due to Blue Angels fighter pilots, before squadron leaders blocked the feline's human mother on social media in an act of "cowardly censorship," she says in a lawsuit. nbcnews.com/news/us-news/s…
Same. (With wine, no less.) And recite a historic creed, part of our confession, or a question from the Baptist Catechism. And have a confession of sin/assurance of pardon. And sing Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. And pray, read scripture, and preach expositionally.
At my Baptist church, we take the Lord’s Supper weekly.
Since baptists also usually require prospective members to fully (and usually physically) subscribe to the church’s confessional documents rather than hold exceptions or be a member without subscription you could make the argument they inherently allow less individualism
Planet Earth cannot understand America unless it understands this first
This verse hit me preaching through Hebrews: “Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.” (Heb. 13:7) I was convicted I needed to speak more highly of those who cared for me and discipled me…
The claim that "Southern Baptists have rejected the Nicene Creed" is patently false & borderline slanderous. Dr. Mark DeVine explained exactly what the issue was in question when this was proposed and debated at the SBC annual meeting in 2024. Tolle lege! centerforbaptistleadership.org/to-nicaea-or-n…
Few know this, but there are Baptists out there who are historically confessional and convictionally Baptist, and not just wishy washy generic evangelicals. There are Baptists beyond the fog machines and rock band. There is a real Baptist tradition out there, and it is good.
Observation: maybe a guy who is so unstable in theological convictions that he makes major theological and career changes (after being dishonest about his convictions, taking money from an employer, and being a jerk on the way out (and before)) is not the kind of person who…
💯!!!!
This critique of Southern Baptists is either naive or dishonest. Either way, it ignores a great number of Southern Baptist pastors and churches who stand right in the middle of participatory, historic, and authentic Christianity. I know hundreds of Southern Baptists pastors…
Taking shots on the way out the door is low class, bro.

The definition of a “Baptist” includes far more than our distinguishing doctrines and practices. What it means to be “Baptist” involves the whole of “Baptist identity.” founders.org/articles/what-…
Chapter 1 and Chapter 8 of the 1689 Baptist Confession are some of the strongest Trinitarian and Christological statements in all of Christendom. A Reformed Baptist church is the perfect home for the classical Trinitarian.
All month long, @Christ_OverAll has been celebrating the Nicene Creed. We want you to know, embracing Classical Trinitarianism does not need to make one abandon their Baptist convictions or confessions. Check out more than a dozen essays and podcasts 👇
Today seems like a good day for your periodic reminder that Baptists really need to study Baptist Covenant Theology and historic Baptist sources.

Exactly!
Yes and no. If Paul expected mutual submission *within marriage* then his instructions to wives in vv. 22ff wouldn’t even need stating. Nor would it make much sense to specify that the wife’s submission is for her “own husband.” See 👉 cbmw.org/2023/06/22/a-t…
Egalitarians are mistaken to interpret “one another” to require mutual submission. The Greek term for “one another” does not always denote strict reciprocity. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn’t. The context is the key. For example, Revelation 6:4 says, “And out came…
This misunderstanding of 5:21 and how to interpret what follows has been ‘asked and answered’ so many times at this point. This is not new, it’s old error.
New Testament Marriage is a submission competition. “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.” (Eph 5:21) “Walk in the way of love, JUST AS Christ loved us and gave himself up for us...” (Eph. 5:2)
