What is a Reformed Baptist? Knowing and understanding wholesome theology is essential for the Christian life. This is a wonderful book for church members, for those seeking church membership, for study classes and for new believers. – James M. Renihan, Ph.D.…

Being a Baptist didn’t stop, for instance, Michael Haykin or David Dockery or Timothy George from retrieving the Christian tradition.
It’s not accurate to say classical Baptist theology is “individualistic.” 1. Individualism - All authority for being Christian rests in the individual. 2. Collectivism - All authority for being Christian rests in the church. Classical Baptists teach that individuals must…
We recite the Nicene Creed at my Baptist church from time to time.
Five of the reasons I’m not an Anglican in no particular order: 1. Regulative principle of worship (whatever Christ does not institute in NC worship is prohibited) 2. Baptism of credibly professing disciples alone 3. Ecclesiastical fellowship should be separate from unbelief…
It is interesting to learn from former Southern Baptist theologians that Southern Baptists are averse to the Nicene Creed, especially since we identified ourselves with it in a resolution just this year.
Bearing false witness is not a good way to start a career in Anglicanism (or in any church for that matter). Contrary to what Barrett claims here, Southern Baptists have not rejected the Nicene Creed. We just adopted a resolution reaffirming it last month.…
Peter adds, “For the promise is for you and for your children” (Acts 2:39). Why don’t they ever finish this verse?

Are we doing the thing where we blame Thomism for someone's conversion to paedobaptism while ignoring all of the Presuppositionalists that converted to paedobaptism over the years? Cool

We should not be asking “What is the most traditional understanding of Scripture?,” but “What is the most Scriptural tradition?” We should ask this question not as mere private interpreters but as students of the great interpreters of the church.
I am thankful to be Reformed and Baptist. I believe it’s the most biblical thing to be or else I would change, by grace.
