I want to know everything about @NHSResolution I’ve been banging on for ages about their workings. Clearly there is profit in harm if not things would change. Someone’s keeping the status quo. I’m not an economist anyone help? theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
Super proud of this amazing woman and friend 🩷. I agree with every word of truth she speaks. @Laurenncaul @wesstreeting
Thank you @Channel4News for having me back. Talking about health inequalities and baby loss makes people uncomfortable but that silence is why it keeps happening. We need a full, judge-led statutory inquiry. Nothing less will do. For Grace. For every family failed 🤍
And in the same week as this… hcpc-uk.org/news-and-event… Surely you can see through this @wesstreeting?! @KatieJWhite @FabianLeedsNE @RachelReevesMP @MarkJSewards @alexsobel @RichardBurgon @hilarybennmp @Mather_Keir @DivyaTalwar1 @BBCMBuchanan @Rebeccasmt @JoshHalliday
Well, well, well, what do we have here? A CEO of an evolving maternity scandal ridden trust has apparently and ever so coincidentally been “considering retirement”. 🤔🤥 Leeds THT CEO Phil Wood suddenly announces retirement. “Jump Ship” seems to spring to mind…@wesstreeting

Emily & Lauren - for and on behalf of your totally beautiful, adorable & immense girls & the brothers & sisters. ( we hope!) will follow them - WE WILL KEEP GOING xx ❤️ We WILL get there! Thank you both x

Over and over again, the same avoidable and horrible deaths continue to occur. I’ve asked before and I’ll ask again, when will it be too many? When will action be taken?
Baby died 'after midwives dismissed concerns' bbc.in/4kJZBOv

Failing to learn from avoidable maternity harm deepens the societal harms highlighted by @DOckendenLtd. Our campaign raises the issue of defensive litigation Vs doing what is right by families and the significant detrimental impact this has on society, families & lost careers.
'Ockenden...stressed that the cost of avoidable maternity harm was felt across “mental health, other health services, the economy, the wider community, relationships, whole families and careers”.' So true, @DOckendenLtd theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
@GBNEWS There needs to be serious questions asked about why @NHSResolution is using vast amounts of tax payers money to fund top legal defence barristers at the inquests of our avoidably dead babies? It only serves to deny families the truth of “how” a baby died.
'There must be some endemic incompetence and negligence inherent in the NHS for this to be true.' @PaulCoxComedy reacts as the NHS faces a 'shocking' £27bn bill for maternity failings, following hospital scandals and record legal claims.
Another important reason we need a statutory PI into Mother and baby care in NHS Maternity Services. The list of reasons (for a PI) is getting bigger and bigger…… theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
We need to reduce the risk of harm in the first place. The high cost of negligence is associated with prolonged litigation “do not admit liability Vs doing what is right for families” and let’s not forget the victims currently being erased by the system. theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
Black women face disproportionately higher risks during pregnancy and childbirth according to a report out today. More than half said they faced challenges with healthcare professionals, and more than a quarter reported experiencing discrimination. Gargy Patel report.
"Maternal deaths rising in UK despite fewer births, official figures show" theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
Behind every £1 of this is a mini story. The need to buy incontinence nappies. Feeding supplies for tube feeding. Syringes for giving 20 doses of medicine a day. Suction catheters to stop choking. £27bn worth of mini stories of suffering & indignity theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
James, you seem set on dissenting bereaved voices who say midwives aren't doing their best. Please consider your moniker of 'voice of bereaved parents' and add 'who believe the best of midwives' because it's an increasingly niche view. It's not all bereaved views.
