Unfortunately, the government got what they wanted. They pushed through their horrific bill. It passed 336-242. This is obviously horrific news and I I’m absolutely sorry that they won this battle. But they won’t win the war. The fight continues and we will never stop…
I’m so honoured and proper chuffed that I get to chat to this incredible woman and find out more about disability rights from her vast knowledge. Come on down!! It’s a fiver. Xx

Regret motion in the House of Lords was voted down 17 for, 120 against So they too are happy for democide of disabled people
Thanking @natalieben for fighting for us today. We didn’t get the result we wanted, but I’m thankful for those politicians who have fought for us and continue to do so. The fight isn’t over ✊
Hello all, would just like to say thank you to those of you who have reached out to DR asking if you could be of assistance to DR. I’ll respond to your messages about this tomorrow when migraine is clear. I appreciate your offers of help! 🥰
Disability isn't a crime. But the way UK media and politicians talk about us? Feels like they want it to be.
I’m gutted the UC Bill went through the HoL today, but I want you all to know: the fight continues. We will never stop fighting for you. Next up will be legal challenges. Soon we will have meetings with other organisations to discuss our next steps. We will keep you all updated…
My cat Ronnie knows I’ve got a migraine. She has been with me all evening and purring non-stop 🥰💜
Hello all, apologies for not doing the Halls of Fame and Shame tonight. I’ve got a horrendous migraine today. I’ll do them tomorrow. Taking nominations for: Hall of Fame political Hall of Shame political Hall of Fame non-political Hall of Shame non-political
Sorry to say that's it. The universal credit bill has been passed. Not a great advert for the #Lords this evening, despite a small number of good speeches by those opposed. Full report by DNS on Thursday. Not feeling thrilled about democracy this evening. #UniversalCreditBill
Lord Sikka (Labour) in HoL on #UCBill: no assessment impact of bill on NHS, public services, families, or human dignity. Huge financial savings are unlikely to materialise. Violates any notion of equality: 2 tier system & existing claimants not safe as circumstances can change.
"There are people who will never be able to work but their lives still have a purpose" Hear Hear! #TakingThePIP
While it's devastating that the UC Bill has passed through the lords, its important to highlight just how much the incredible work of activists made the government strip it back. This is the power of disabled people when we come together. They will never take that away from us.
The regret motion in the House of Lords was voted down. 17 for, 120 against As we know, the bill was a money bill, so the Lords didn't have the power to amend or stop the bill, but it'd have been good if it had gone on record as passed ' with regret ' to show the House of Lords…
The Universal Credit Bill has passed. The Motion of Regret did not. I am heartbroken. We got powerful truths spoken in the Lords which may help later in legal and public fights. But.... What is this thing called Labour. Not something I morally recognise Love to all x
Ableism (from anywhere and from anyone) is a big problem. But I hadn’t realised until a few months ago how big a problem lateral ableism too. Lateral ableism is when disabled people discriminate against or invalidate each other based on the differences in our disabilities. It…
