The truth is—we have proven we can and will do better than Jacob. And he’s terrified. He knows his grasp on power in this city is slipping. People are done waiting to be included in meaningful policy. Frey is behind the times, and it showed over and over again at convention.
I’m disappointed our current administration hasn’t corrected the decision to let the officer who killed Amir Locke train others on use of force. If we truly have the most diverse and staffed force in years, surely we can find someone better. MPLS needs accountability to rebuild.

With a majority vote from DFL delegates, TCDSA members and allied Palestine Solidarity organizers worked to PASS a resolution at the Minneapolis DFL Convention asking our local elected officials to divest from any companies supporting Israel’s genocide of Palestine.
Another important detail of this is that the 478 total ballots cast proves quorum. Quorum is a majority of the registered delegates. And the total number of delegates that is even *theoretically* possible for the city convention is 833 (800 regular delegates, 33 DPLs).

478 people were still in attendance and voting after the Frey team told their delegates to leave the Convention. That's more than what's needed for quorum. Anyone with doubts about Omar Fateh’s overwhelming endorsement by the Minneapolis DFL can be quiet now. Please & thank you.

I’m so proud of @jazzformayor & @DeWayneForMPLS for running and staying in. They are tremendous candidates and we need to fill our ballots in November with their names as well if we are going get a new mayor through ranked choice voting.
