loud and annoying on the internet. democratic socialist. secretly a crow. views are mine and not reflective of my employer!
friends, foes, and neighbors, it is time for the ever coveted: ASH ROLLINGFOR20 MINNEAPOLIS ELECTIONS ENDORSEMENT THREAD 🥳 see below for my takes on who should win their bid for their respective office in November:
fundamental to this approach, politicians like Frey and Cuomo believe only insiders should lead or craft policy. They dismiss folks who appeal to fairness and our values and aspirations. Anytime they are clearly rejected, they clearly object like a petulant child.
Republican consultant Dustin Grage posted what has long been an open secret: “Every Republican in Minneapolis is going to be voting for Jacob Frey.” That’s probably why 28% of his donors are Republican donors. Republicans want Frey, but the Minneapolis DFL wants @OmarFatehMN.
Incredible that the GOP flipped the script on themselves by specifically and vociferously defending rich pedophiles for no discernible reason other than a genuine desire to simply defend rich pedophiles.
The pedophile protection party is shutting down Congress just to avoid voting on the release of the Epstein files.
Why is Elizabeth Shaffer supporting a non DFL endorsed candidate? This is malfeasance under the Minnesota DFL Constitution and Bylaws. Her endorsement should be revoked under the rules.
Interesting.
Trump-aligned Jacob Frey
At this rate, every Republican in Minneapolis is going to be voting for Jacob Frey. That’s how bad Omar Fateh is.
There was a phrase for it at the elementary school playground. "Spoil sport." Also, "takes his marbles and goes home" rather than accepting a loss graciously. Frey is a spoiled brat, he cares more about wrecking the future of Minneapolis than supporting the DFL endorsement.
Corn Sweats is Joe Rad’s nickname
It’s hot and humid in Minnesota. Is ‘corn sweat’ to blame? startribune.com/corn-sweat-hea…
By accepting the DFL endorsement Linea Palmisano, LaTrisha Vetaw and Mike Rainville only support Omar Fateh for Mayor and specifically do not support Jacob Frey.
Minnesota DFL State Chair Richard Carlbom: “If you want to be authoritarian, go be a Republican.” Mayor Frey and his supporters: “Say less.”
Yes, it would be a disaster if we elected a Democrat who presided over mass police resignations, multiple public safety disasters, a growing homeless population, and the closure of countless small businesses. OH WAIT. The absolute hubris (and dishonesty) of this jackass.
Brehm: Why electing Omar Fateh mayor of Minneapolis would be a bad idea — and could help Trump startribune.com/dsa-public-saf…
The genocide of the people of Gaza continues as members of congress vote to fund Israel’s defensive and offensive military capabilities. This is immoral and no amount of excuses will ever make it ok.
Hundreds of Israelis are now marching in the center of Tel Aviv against the starvation of Gaza at the hands of the Israeli government. Some are holding sacks of flour.
I’m grateful for DeWayne’s thoughtful leadership and that he is staying in this race. This is a perfect example of why I will be ranking him on my ballot in November.
Since Saturday’s convention, many people have reached out to ask if I will be challenging the DFL endorsement. I want to be clear: I will not challenge the endorsement and will not collaborate with those who are challenging the endorsement.
Wow I can't believe @Jacob_Frey posted this on his official account.
The Minneapolis Commie Corridor:
Does *every* big city have a "commie corridor"?
just more proof of freybabies being republicans in blue suits: co-opting langauge that trump and his supporters use

"Made it clear" to whom? As a teacher, if my students weren't learning, I wasn't teaching, however many words might have poured through my lips or onto the whiteboard. Likewise, if his audience didn't come away persuaded, he wasn't making his virtues clear.
Mayor Frey throughout the convention made it clear that he is the only candidate with the experience, ideas, and character to continue leading Minneapolis forward. We are proud to support his continued leadership. 👏
Key point: “…decided through democratic processes to proceed with a second ballot.”
While it’s true there were clear problems with the balloting process, it’s also true that delegates were informed about the problems during the convention and decided through democratic processes to proceed with a second ballot.
