Nothing could do more to create a permanent rift in the party than for the state party to overturn the will of over 500 delegates who decided not to walk out and raise their badges for @OmarFatehMN

From an unbiased point of view (mine) it was clear the minute I walked through the curtain that Fateh had the majority of the support in the room. Anything to the contrary is just grifter bullshit.

The part of democracy that people really seem to struggle with is it actually doesn't matter what *you* personally think. It's about the will of the body/group and if you don't like it, truly it's a too bad situation.

The main story of this convention has got to be Frey's unpopularity. Coming into a convention with more than two-thirds of delegates seeking to replace you as mayor is a clear sign of failure. Any discussion of the process of the convention should take a backseat to this fact.

When thinking about Omar Fateh winning the DFL endorsement this weekend, some context is useful: A challenger has not won the DFL endorsement against an incumbent mayor in at least this century. I'll leave it to others with longer memories to say if it has EVER happened.
