Does Wes Streeting want these strikes to happen? He’s made no offer, no commitment, and had months to prepare. He can't agree to paying doctors 22.67£/hr. With all the private healthcare linked donations he’s taken, does he want the NHS to fail? share.google/7y8PdeRm0s4Mrj…
Talking about the resident doctors, unelected Labour peer Baroness Hazarika uses the Tory attack line 'there's no magic money tree' But as the husband of her old boss once said, "Yes there is, and they grow in the Cayman Islands, Bermuda and Jersey"
The issues were never hidden; flawed training, disruptive relocations, inadequate support, high exam costs, and poor working conditions. Concerns were raised but dismissed. Normalising dysfunction doesn't make it right. It's time for accountability. #DoctorsStrikes
Wait …what! Food, training & job security part of negotiations with Resident Drs These are basics for any job, they are not perks, or negotiating tools Imagine saying the opposite! What does this say about the current situation for Resident Drs? @wesstreeting Fix it anyway!
The govt knows NHS working conditions are broken & could be improved without extra cost. Yet they ignore this unless we threaten strikes. Calling “improving conditions” a gift is insulting, it’s basic duty This isn’t generosity, it’s overdue responsibility they’ve long neglected
Wes Streeting’s leaked offer letter to the BMA confirms what many of us feared: there is still no serious intent from him to resolve this dispute. 🔴 No offer on pay - despite this being a pay dispute. 🔴 Vague references to “exploring” help with the cost of equipment, meals,…
Jim Mackey’s leadership is a masterclass in failure; presiding over a collapsing #NHS that pays £1,000 a day just to patch holes, yet he has the nerve to demonise the very doctors trying to hold the system together. It’s leadership that punishes the frontline, not the crisis.

Strikes may delay #cancer care now, but the bigger threat is losing doctors for good. Without real change, cancer patients will face worse delays, misdiagnosis, or no care at all. This isn’t just a strike, it’s a warning the #NHS is breaking. The goverment needs to act now.

Daniel Harris nearly died after being misdiagnosed twice by PAs. They are not doctors and should not be diagnosing patients. This is dangerous, misleading, and costing lives. The NHS must stop using undertrained quacks as doctor substitutes. web.archive.org/web/2025072219…

Streeting’s criticism misses the point. Doctors aren’t striking out of disdain, they’re fighting against crushing debt, burnout, and a system in crisis. Instead of attacking them, the government should listen and address the real issues and save the NHS. telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/2…
Streeting is just repeating the same old Tory mistakes: no solid offer on pay, no plan to raise doctors’ wages from £18.62/hr, and vague promises like student loan forgiveness that never materialise. Doctors have had enough of the empty talk. They need a proper, credible offer.
Wes Streeting is copying the same failed Tory playbook - and doctors see right through it. No offer on pay. No plan to move fully qualified doctors from £18.62/hr to £22.67/hr, even over time. Vague “non pay elements” that mean nothing. Student loan forgiveness wasn’t even on…
Halfway there. Keep going. The results are coming. #WednesdayMotivation #KeepPushing

To all resident doctors striking this week You're taking a difficult but necessary stand This isn’t just about pay; it’s about fair treatment, respect, and safe working conditions You have the support of many across the system You're not alone; we stand with you

1/2 THIS👇🏼 With respect to Prof Leng, triage is only about priority/urgency of need for care. Not diagnosis‼️ I see patients w/ all manner of problems who’ve been ‘triaged’ at the front desk. What’s written down then frequently has little bearing on the diagnosis & outcome.
Triage sets a priority level to determine the urgency for initial assessment of undifferentiated patients Patients remain undifferentiated untill they are assigned a diagnosis. Triaged patients are still undifferentiated. They literally could have anything wrong with them.
Outrageous! People in Gaza are dying from starvation and lack of medical aid as it’s suspended amid this brutal assault. Cutting off access to lifesaving care is cruel and inhumane. The suffering must end, and urgent humanitarian aid must reach those in desperate need now.
BREAKING: Medical aid has been suspended to a city in central Gaza due to an Israeli ground assault there, a charity has said. 🔗 Read more trib.al/g5LV0Ok
Gp practice: PA ‘ Hi I’m a PA ,how can I help ‘ PT: A PA ? I asked to see a GP and I’ve heard that PAs can’t diagnose PA: I reject that guidance by NHSE PT : I want to see a GP PA: there aren’t any available, you’ll have to come back tomorrow PT: I’m in pain PA: sorry
Despite the @lengreview, safety warnings, and patient deaths, @NHSEmployers still claims PAs can see undifferentiated patients. They’re encouraging unsafe diagnosis, ignoring primary care reforms, and failing on ID clarity. Total failure to update basic info. @wesstreeting
The incompetence continues NHSEmployers cannot even read @lengreview and update the misinformation on their own site Implementing some of the recommendations too. Which ones are you ignoring ? @wesstreeting nhsemployers.org/articles/physi…
A long-overdue move Silencing whistleblowers should never be tolerated in healthcare. Banning unfit NHS managers and enforcing real accountability will protect patients, support staff, and help rebuild trust in leadership. Transparency must be the standard independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n…
I’m sure the GMC will need another £10 mil just to make the name change I’m guessing they’ve invoiced DoH 🤣
Hey, @gmcuk Four days to fix a simple name change from “Physician Associate” to “Physician Assistant.” If you ask me, PAs shouldn’t be registered at all. Anyway, sort it out.
We’re not even given a reason as to why they’re murdering people queuing for food… 1) Because there is no possible reason to gun down unarmed, starving people queuing for food And 2) because they know our Western ‘leaders’ have their back …so they don’t even need a reason.
The unanswerable question: Why do Physician Assistants exist, when we have Doctor’s Assistants? The latter being irreplaceable and invaluable where deployed, for a fraction of the cost of a PA: a useless entity. Expand DAs and pay them their worth! skillsforhealth.org.uk/wp-content/upl…
