Some of us are out here controlling hundreds of kilograms.
You have a powerful but limited telekinesis, which allows you to control some tens of kilograms of matter directly with your will. This power can be temporarily extended into other matter via contact, but not persistently.
Thirty years from now, people will be posting of busty women from this era and saying you could keep them in a mansion by streaming 4 hours a week
This is what they took from us
95 percent of Right Wing nostalgia is just a picture of a woman with unbelievable honkers captioned, “This is what they took from us 😔”
A NYT intro to muscle growth and maintenance with some good sources, if anyone wants it.
From my NYT interview: It doesn’t really matter if you lift light or heavy weights, Dr. Schoenfeld said. The important thing is that you regularly push yourself during your strength training workouts. “The last several reps need to be very challenging,” nytimes.com/2025/07/22/wel…
I think more people should consider this.
I mean without a source study where I can look at the data and see how it was massaged. I do not accept AI output as meaningful.
The fundamental mistake of much left-wing economics is to treat investment or pricing decisions as budget decisions.
Lots of really bad economics in today’s NYT op-ed on grocery store competition. Take this passage for example:
This is "The Gamers" and its sequel, an independent film made ~20 years ago. It's pure D&D camp
Every once in a while they are instead criticizing something that 1) is genuinely awful 2) is a consequence of government policies restricting supply and 3) is way less bad in places that do less government restriction of supply
Usually when I see someone saying something awful is capitalism they are describing something that 1) is genuinely awful 2) is a consequence of material scarcity and 3) has gotten much much less bad under capitalism
Utilitarianism's main problem is "what's the function for aggregating Utility" has no good answer and fewer bounds on possible answers than we'd like.
Every time I get into a back and forth with utilitarians I have to point out that aggregation fns other than Sum exist. Consider Sum(x)/(1+Sum(x)). Math doesn't have any requirement that shrimp utility be linear in shrimp, nor have a global upper bound.
Megan is wrong here. With modern CGI we can really nail the sand worms.
It is time for people to accept that Atlas Shrugged is unfilmable and move on.
This, plus the alpha aura farmer Snipes, is what made Blade the best superhero movie of the 90s. This is Feige trying to ice skate uphill.
Kevin Feige says Marvel Studios’ ‘BLADE’ is still in development with Oscar winner Mahershala Ali still attached to star. The film will be set in a modern-day setting: “We didn’t want to put a leather outfit on him and have him start killing vampires.” (deadline.com/2025/07/marvel…)
No love for the hot guy and high IQ women?
Eugenics party, my place, 8pm +2 required Bring the hottest girl and highest IQ guy you know
This sounds good, but the timing doesn't work. The Men's curse didn't get lifted until the draft was abolished, and feminism has been around for over a century at that point.
our ancient curse was that men go die in wars and women do childrearing. but we've gone and lifted men's curse and not women's, and the resulting fury at the inequality is the thing we call feminism. we won't find equality again until we solve childrearing
May the quest to think clearly, behave rationally and earn respect along with trust be a lifelong endeavor.
The pay of the star talent, producers, and team members can explode if you have a hit show, and keep them making the same thing month after month for a hungry audience. You can double your audience and keep everyone happy, but when it goes down 25% from peak, the salaries can't…
AFICT "class solidarity" wasn't real. It was a thing Marx invented with the only evidence of its existence being the success of certain groups (such as factory owners). All the arguments for it are "the purpose of a system is what it does" and "come on, look at how those assholes…
Real estate capitalists do not have class solidarity. If Mike the developer can make a dollar undermining Joe the landlord, he will do so without a second thought. We have examples of this happening all over the world, most recently in Austin and Minneapolis.
You can never compliment a man by implying/saying he looks thin or skinny the only correct way to compliment a man’s weight loss is to use the word LEAN as in “looking lean brother”
This dude at my gym just told me I’m gonna blow away in the wind if I lose much more weight… not cool…
