1/ Super excited to share my first preprint from @hansen_lab! We used MINFLUX to track chromatin (H2B-Halo and Fbn2 locus) at an unprecedented 200 μs, then combined it with SPT to span μs-minutes (H2B) or SPT & Super-Res Live-Cell Imaging (SRLCI) to span μs-hours (Fbn2)

🎇🎄Some holiday reading: Overdue TWEETORIAL on the latest preprint from our lab. 🎇🎄 In this work, superstar postdoc @XueXinhe combined 2 kinds of pooled CRISPR screens to pinpoint noncoding regulatory elements and the transcription factors that activate these elements.
Our preprint by @DomenicNarducci and the companion preprint by @deWitLab are now out in @MolecularCell ZNF143 is not a general looping factor and was identified as such due to a non-specific antibody. Instead it is TF with the longest residence time measured (to our knowledge)
(1/14) Excited to share our new work on ZNF143/ZFP143 by @DomenicNarducci ZNF143 has been widely reported to be a general loop factor Instead we and @deWitLab in a companion preprint show that ZNF143 is a TF with no loop function: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Very excited to share a preprint from my time as a postdoc with @BaranelloL at @karolinskainst which will provide the foundation for my lab’s future work investigating how oncoproteins can affect the diffusion of their targets. Here’s what we found: 1/11 bit.ly/3TTl50B
At SR-Tiget we are seeking outstanding mid-career scientists in Computational biology, AI, and Molecular immunology who wish to translate their results into therapeutic advances with a focus on genetic diseases! Deadline 1st September 2025! linkedin.com/posts/sr-tiget…
(1/13) Thread on @mazzocca_matteo @DomenicNarducci @SGrosseHolz @_jessematthias new preprint Q: how does chromatin move? Using MINFLUX, SPT & SRLCI, we track chromatin dynamics across 7 orders of magnitude in time to provide some answers biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
(1/n) New preprint from @claricehongky Fan Fang @VarshiniRam23 in collab w Jie Liu Q: How do we get ultra-high-res 3D genome maps? A: New deep learning model, Cleopatra. Cleo trains on Micro-C, fine-tunes on RCMC, and predicts genome-wide 3D maps biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Excited to share my first preprint from @hansen_lab! It's got genomics, AI, and biology - all wrapped up in a great paper. Also very grateful to my amazing collaborator, Fan, for all his hard work. Please check it out and let me know what you think! tinyurl.com/bdfvtd6f

📷 📢 New Lab Alert! I am very excited to share that starting this summer, I will open my laboratory at the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget) in Milan, Italy! linkedin.com/feed/update/ur… #newlab #chromatin #epigenetics #milan #chromatindynamics
Check out Masahiro Nagano's preview sciencedirect.com/science/articl… of a very cool paper from Tjalsma...Wouter de Laat: cell.com/cell-genomics/…
Distance matters: How protein regulators facilitate enhancer-promoter interactions and transcription dlvr.it/TJWy4b
We often speak about chromatin as being accessible or inaccessible, but what does it mean? We wrote a short review on this, 🔬 focused: sciencedirect.com/science/articl… A big thank you to Tom Fillot for his efforts on this and to @hansen_lab @marcelonollmann for their help as editors.
A dream come true: in 2004 I started thinking about counting microstates to predict gene expression with @JKondev Rob Phillips @HernanGGarcia. 20 years later we can measure them: nature.com/articles/s4158… Thank you @WJGreenleaf @bgrdoughty @MichaelaThinks Julia and all co-authors!
What a great progress for fast, reproducible and large fov single molecule imaging and tracking. Fantastic preprint by @xyzDrch @Dan_J_Anderson @XDarzacq @Eric_Betzig and all the team @EikonTX. Now I want an OLS microscope!
Single-molecule tracking with Oblique Line Scan Illumination: FOV: 250x190 µm🔬🦣 Frame rate: up to 1250 Hz✈️ Resolution: ~15 nm🎯 Cool preprint by @xyzDrch @Dan_J_Anderson et al. @EikonTX @TjianDarzacq @HHMIJanelia doi.org/10.1101/2023.1… PS. when n=4 means 4 microscopes 😅
Come and join us! We are looking to recruit a Research Assistant/Technical Associate I to join our team Summer 2024. This could be an ideal position for someone looking for 2 years of research experience before starting graduate school. Apply: careers.peopleclick.com/careerscp/clie…
I’m excited to share that my PhD paper is now published in @NatureComms! I’m grateful for the support of all collaborators, in particular my advisor @shiner80, Alessia Loffreda, and Emanuele Colombo. See this thread for more details, and read the paper at nature.com/articles/s4146…
...And the manuscript is now out in @NatureComms: nature.com/articles/s4146…. Here a long-due but (hopefully) short thread:
