People dunking on me, "what's so hard about a 3d pixel art game?! LOLZ" Bro, we can't even rotate pixel art in 2d. Much less render it from any arbitrary perspective.
Look, I try not to say anything about game design because that's not my thing, but if there's one animation style that grinds my gears is the one that rotates pixelated sprites and rotates the pixels as well. 😠
Took a stab at the "first person pixel art fantasy game" concept thing. I really love this idea. Would be an enormous challenge to make it work in a real game engine. But fun to imagine!
Lots of interesting discussions right now about how to reproduce this style in a game engine. This might be a great candidate for an AI post process.

We used #ControlRig to drive the slope warp on #Ciri & #Kelpie for the #Witcher4 #ue5 tech demo. I was able to give the rig to CDPR and they put it on all the NPCs. Kelpie used @kiaran_ritchie’s FBIK node to help the horse rigging not be so complex. #animation #rigging
