Trainee Consultant. Real doctors have to start standing up for themselves #DefundtheRoyalColleges “NHS delenda est”
Simultaneously since 2015 the RCP, RCS and other Royal Colleges have fanatically created, organized, promoted and propagandized a parallel “clinician” pathway for those incapable of entering medical school — the UK’s horrifying variant of America’s Physician Assistants.
All the more reason why BMA should not cave in to Wes “500 vote” “Ozempic” Streeting.
I'm told a potential Labour leadership bid from Wes Streeting is currently shaping up, with Shabana Mahmood broached as campaign chair
The only issue with stopping the non-working class from inheriting state property is that they will be replaced by parasitic Oxbridge class people who will then get some kind of “Grade II listing” to then squat there and upgrade it with taxpayer funds like the Rees Moggs @zatzi
What possible defence is there for someone *inheriting* social housing? It seems to be an utterly perverse system of taxpayer funded privilege. A feudal right to live in a valuable property, often in the most expensive areas of the country, just because a relative lived there.
Doctors are paid per hour. The enhancement we get are: x1.37 for hours worked between 9pm and 7am. For weekends, we get between x1.03 - x1.10, depending on how many weekends we work. This is compulsory overtime.
Fun fact: £1bn would cover the cost of full pay restoration
That's very inspiring, Chris. What sort of champagne is your favourite? Are all doctors entitled to champagne? Are taxpayers's entitled to champagne, or is it just for doctors?
No pay offer. Bottle neck still in place. No real training environment. No thanks - I’ll stick with BMA.
Keir Starmer: Resident doctors should break ranks with the BMA leadership. The industrial action that starts on Friday is in no one’s interests and medics should not follow their union down its dangerous and destructive route, he says. thetimes.com/article/3fdcd5…
The surgery will remain open as normal during the Resident Doctors strikes. We fully support the doctors who are seeking pay restoration after years of underfunding. bma.org.uk/bma-media-cent…
This morning a senior PA lecturer has said he has reported me to the GMC for misinformation. I was also called a troll. Happy to correct any misinformation but he wasn’t able to specify. Instead he deleted his FB account. I’m a dr concerned about pt safety. That’s it.
My biggest issue with Windows 11 is that it just makes everything harder to do or hides stuff. ⁉️The calendar is behind an “up” arrow ⁉️The sound control is mixed with network controls ⁉️The screenshot button doesn’t take screenshots but opens the snip tool WHY⁉️⁉️ MS idiots
Today, UK wholesale electricity prices are down to levels of late 2018 and early 2019, driven by gas. But our electricity bills are much higher than 2018. Renewables are driving our electricity bills higher.
PAs don’t study medicine. They barely memorize the table of contents of just 1 out of dozens of textbooks that real medical students have to learn from.
Physician Assistant Emily calls into @theJeremyVine show @BBCRadio2 & claims she studied “80% of Medicine” at St George’s Medical School She tells a few more lies. Do PAs tell lies like this to patients? @Adam_Skein -PA turned Medical Student can confirm PA Emily’s claims r false
This is why they stopped the construction of new reservoirs despite the growing population. They created artificial shortages which they could falsely blame on "climate change" then use as a pretext to impose smart meters and a system of water rationing. lbc.co.uk/news/uk/water-…
Can we all please take a moment to remember that Wes Streeting only has a majority of 500 votes…… And activate a recall vote today?
Labour's support has collapsed. @wesstreeting’s refusal to resolve this doctor dispute is reckless. If he keeps ignoring doctors, it won’t be long before voters ignore him.
A Guardian columnist argues that widespread air-conditioning is 'philosophically problematic' because 'the screaming urgency to tackle the collective issue of a world on fire can recede slightly.' She has an AC unit herself, of course.

"Average UK salary". For those at the back... We aren't fucking average.
I really hate it when people say “my taxes pay your wages” to public sector workers. I have never heard a doctor or nurse say “my training, my long nights studying after work, my moving around from job to job, my absorption of £100,000 in student debt saved your life”.
It's always weird to see these bizarre claims that the committee is "hard left" or "corbynistas". This is a wave of young people aged typically between 23-35 who see Broken Britain for what it is. Raising rent, raising house prices, raising energy prices, raising leisure…
Once again I am reminding you that the last reservoir in this country was built in 1991, when the population was 10,000,000 smaller than it is today. It's not the weather, it's the people.
🚨 NEW: Thames Water have announced a hosepipe ban, beginning next Tuesday, for consumers in Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, and parts of Wiltshire and Berkshire
Really don’t understand what the point of all this is
We are creating a multi-agent AI software company @xAI, where @Grok spawns hundreds of specialized coding and image/video generation/understanding agents all working together and then emulates humans interacting with the software in virtual machines until the result is excellent.…
Doctors have faced the steepest real terms pay cuts in the entire private/public sector We are asking for pay restoration, something the average worker has already achieved You can't cut the waiting list without properly valuing NHS staff @wesstreeting must negotiate with docs
