To anyone wondering if doctors are so badly done to that they have no option but to strike please have a look at this independent analysis of their pay. Exploring the earnings of NHS doctors in England (2025 update) | Nuffield Trust nuffieldtrust.org.uk/resource/explo…
Pay restoration looks like this, so I think the 4% would get them pay restoration?
Devil’s advocate… does screening in this context extend life?
I could have written every word of this Striking doctors claiming to care about patients? It’s a sick joke thetimes.com/article/5a14a2…
Mm good question. Why on earth would a trainee GP be worth less than an established professor at peak of his career? 🤔🤔
Why am I worth a penny less than you professor? You won’t repay my £200k student loan. You had free access to education, free hospital accommodation. Significantly better pay relative to inflation, a better pension.

Youv’e got a bloody nerve talking about risks to patient safety
We've written to NHS England with concerns about inadequate planning ahead of possible strike action later this week. Attempts to run non-urgent services with fewer doctors risk patient safety. It's imperative that Trusts postpone work to protect urgent and emergency care.
You suggest you are on same page as Prof Leng. I doubt that very much as I’m pretty certain she would not tell PAs to “go put the kettle on. Mine’s white no sugar” You sicken me with your arrogance.
🚨 FAO Physician Assistants When I spoke to Prof Leng, she told me many doctors felt that PAs could have a really important role assisting doctors in the NHS. I agreed, and added my voice to what I still believe is a strong case for an assistant role, which I believe could be…
Say what you like about Amazon but compared to others who do home deliveries they are incredibly reliable and fast. ParcelForce are completely useless. They just don’t care and the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing
I’ve just had a call from Kenya telling me my parcel has been delivered. It hasn’t been delivered to me. Also tracking shows an apology and that still at depot but also in transit. This ParcelForce service is appalling.
My parcel was promised on 17th July. Would you mind telling me when you are actually going to deliver it to me? Your service is a joke. P2G136597002
A bit rich considering he was accusing others of point scoring which seemed precisely what he himself was doing. Extremely bad taste.
You appear to be linking the suicide to them not being able to secure employment.? Do you know that was definitely the reason? Suicide is complex. And do you think it is ok to use it to score political points?
This is very sad indeed that a young doctor has yet again committed suicide . However it appears Matt that it is you who is point scoring from this dreadful news.
