would be great if the elite US reporters who lose their minds if someone gets a paper cut in the WH briefing room trained even an iota of their wrath on the worst campaign against journalists in modern recorded history
Extraordinary. AFP says its journalists are in imminent risk of being starved to death by Israel. This has never happened since the agency was founded. Never has any of its journalists been starved to death
Israel imposed its total siege in Oct ‘23. US cut UNRWA funding in Jan ‘24. The fact that 2 million are starving now was not only foreseeable, it was deliberately planned and executed. Obfuscating this is genocide denial
ABC, NBC, CBS News ran token reports on Gaza starvation yesterday and had all the tropes: -“Hamas-run health ministry” -Centering Israeli denials -Framing it as the unfortunate result of a new “military offensive” -Zero mention of open Israeli starvation and de-population plans
with this latest sharp jog to the right, we are still comfortably within the blue margin
The gleeful doxing of someone cheating in public is bad even if they are a CEO and even if they are a Coldplay fan. It's bad because this stuff is happening to random people on TikTok for such crimes as "sitting silently on a plane" or "being attractive" 404media.co/the-astronomer…
student activists at Columbia have been warning about the harms posed by Canary Mission and other far-right doxing groups for years. Now we know ICE is using Canary Mission’s database to find targets for deportation
Thank you to @politico for publishing, in full, the cease and desist letter my lawyers sent to New York Councilwoman Vickie Paladino and Speaker Adrienne Adams as part of their coverage today: politico.com/f/?id=00000198…
Eric Adams on Jewish history: “You can’t do anything about the Holocaust, you can’t do anything about being locked down in the Jewish ghetto in Rome years ago, you can’t do anything about Spain telling the Jews they had to leave when Christopher Columbus left…”
This is a wage cut and an attack on workers. The only place that's ever taken up this idea is Hawaii, where it was such an enforcement disaster a Republican legislator is now trying to get rid of their sub-minimum wage. Introducing outside of regular leg process is malpractice.
NEWS: Tomorrow D.C. Council will vote on repealing Initiative 82, which phases out the tipped minimum wage. Under proposal, base wage for tipped workers would be $8 (down from $10 now), but min. wage they’d earn would be $20. That’s more than $17.50 non-tipped workers make.
cool new Microsoft Word feature: every time I create a new file it tries to get me disbarred

Once in a generation talent. We're breathing rarefied air in New York City. I need Bill Ackman to send this man $25 million immediately.
one thing you will never make me do is learn another person’s SAT score
The Israeli military has announced that residents of Gaza will face a choice between exile and confinement in a concentration camp. If you accurately describe this policy you risk state persecution in much of the West
Defense Minister Israel Katz tells reporters in a briefing today that he instructed the IDF and the ministry to bring forward a plan to establish a new "humanitarian city" in the southern Gaza Strip, on the ruins of Rafah. The idea of the humanitarian area, according to Katz, is…
A sad update on this story from the lawyer of this young man. He asked for his deportation today and is giving up his claim. He had his bond hearing next week but according to the lawyer, he just couldn’t take one more week in detention.
NEW: I have been tracking this case since this young man from Venezuela (no tattoos, no criminal record, immigration court date on the books) was sent to Bluebonnet, Tx, from Va and almost removed from the country until the April 19 SCOTUS order. theguardian.com/us-news/2025/a…
Landlords of rent stabilized units definitionally own buildings with at least six units. Their portfolios might be smallER than others, but owning a six-unit building (plus wherever they live!) is hardly a tiny mom-and-pop operation
Nicole is lying to you. The Mayor does not raise the rent, there is an independent board that does that. Also, if you are a small property owner who has saved all your life to buy the few units that you are now barely holding on to, Nicole really does not care about you.
“lived in the last years of Soviet rule” is actually a pretty funny way to describe graduating from Bard in 1992
Again, I was never a fan of socialism. I lived in the last years of Soviet rule and spent a decade listening to horror stories about planned economics, nationalized industry, etc. The only thing new is shock at these ideas being taken seriously here. Never thought I’d see it…
In the original version of this tweet, there’s a clear photo shop error in the photo posted. The mayor’s account has since updated the tweet with a cleaner photo:
The mayor of New York City is sorting whom he considers to look like New York and those he thinks do not:
While @MeltedSolids is two people, it’s important to celebrate the hardest working cinema genius I’ve ever met - @Boringstein, the third leg of Zohran’s video team who joined @butlikesrsly to take the campaign to the finish line and has worked non-stop for nearly six months.
.@ZohranKMamdani's mayoral campaign didn’t look like anyone else’s—and that was the point. Meet @MeltedSolids, the 2-person Brooklyn agency behind his viral (and winning) content. Thanks @anthonydimieri & @butlikesrsly for speaking with me for @ADWEEK! adweek.com/agencies/meet-…
