I'm actually the one who didn't lap up obvious bullshit in this story:
It's very funny how hard you've pivoted from your aloof skeptic act to now happily lapping up obvious horseshit.
Dear @EoinHiggins_ and @HeerJeet - You’re hyping a book that claims on the cover that I was “bought” by tech billionaires like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, when I never took a dime from them. Explain how that isn’t libel?
I talked to @HeerJeet about the billionaires buying the media and the useful idiots—specifically @mtaibbi —who are along for the ride thenation.com/podcast/societ…
"Bought" is the past tense of "buy," which always connotes payment. I was not paid and therefore not "bought":
I don't think "i didn't get paid" is a good counterargument to "you were a useful idiot for money"

That's a pretty telling non-answer. I hope the good folks at @HachetteBooks are aware you knew nothing about my finances when you wrote this book. @MegLevinson

The book is explicitly about me and @ggreenwald.
Where's your name on the cover? Are you "one of the loudest voices"? Are you just an ambulance chaser now, crying to the courts?
That claim applied to any billionaire is incorrect. I’m entirely reader supported
Did he say you were bought by tech billionaires or "those" tech billionaires?
My Substack revenues declined in January 2023 (and February 2023) for the perfectly sensible reason that most of my work was coming out on this platform. June 2022 was the opposite
Post your substack numbers in June 2022 and then January 2023. Wanna see somethin...
It says “bought” on the fucking cover:
can you read? the tweet says you were a useful idiot, not that you were bought...
“Other than a low level lawyer doing some shady shit” - no, the fact that Kevin Clinesmith was the only person who took a fall for the FBI falsifying a warrant application to spy on a presidential candidate is not indicative of anything other than massive still-extant corruption
How someone goes from respected journalists to full time MAGA propagandists. You had over 3 years of an Trump appointed Special Counsel to look into this shit and other than a low level DOJ lawyer doing some shady shit nothing else was found. But go ahead and keep on grifting.

This president’s social media feed is a lot of things, but it’s not boring
Whoa… look what President Trump just posted. 👀
I'm asking that! It would be one thing if Obama had a compelling reason to order a new ICA, but at the time the only evidence supporting the Trump-Russia conspiracy narrative was the Steele Dossier, and only the CIA was backing it. What happened?
Has anyone in media asked the question, "Why did Obama reverse the intelligence assessment and base his reversal on a dossier that was considered unreliable?"
They have to build criminal cases, and there are challenges because of statutes of limitations, but if you read between the lines of the documents, some of these folks were in CYA mode even back then. See
