Isn't it weird that placebo and ketamine seem to have a similar mechanism?
What's the implication of this finding on drug development? Is the idea that part of what makes ketamine effective is that it's working thru an opioid system that is vulnerable to addiction, and so it might be hard to build zero-high, non-addictive ketamine drugs for depression?

1/ Just out in @NatureMedicine : we show the opioid system modulates ketamine’s effects in major depressive disorder, with naltrexone pre‑treatment reducing acute glutamatergic activity and acute antidepressant effects. nature.com/articles/s4159…
