Two weeks ago, we sent our CEO Michael Reinstein this letter asking him to come to the table to negotiate directly with us. We received no response, so are releasing it publicly. We renew our call for direct negotiations with our CEO to produce a fair and equitable contract. 1/2

"These - and other similar rejections - send a message to experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated employees that we are not valued and not wanted." @SightlineMedia owns Military Times and they're one of the few sites left providing vital accountability to troops and families.

It's been more than a year since layoffs at Sightline's Military Times/Defense News publications. It is well past time for current and former employees to be heard at the negotiating table.

✊ Sign our petition to let @society4science @mayaajmera know you stand with us! We just want management to value our work as much as we value its mission to inform, educate and inspire. A #faircontract shouldn't take over a year to negotiate! actionnetwork.org/petitions/for-…
It's simple, really: Every worker deserves a fair and equitable contract. We stand with you in calling for transparency and accountability. #UnionStrong #faircontractnow

Saturday marked one year since Sightline Media Group unjustly laid off 9 reporters and editors, including 7 union members. We in @SightlineUnion continue to support our brothers and sisters, and still fight to challenge their layoffs and get them the fair treatment they deserve.
The members of Sightline Media Union support our fellow journalists at @WashGuild. @washingtonian must treat their dedicated employees fairly and pay them a wage that reflects their talents and hard work.
Washingtonian is throwing a fancy party tonight to celebrate women in journalism. Yet many of the women who work for the magazine don’t make a livable income for DC! Tell @merrillwilliams it’s time to the pay floor! $42,500 is not enough to live and work in DC.
Sounds good, thanks Mort. Monday work for you?
Just call me. I’m here… Not that hard to find. Appreciate the effort and as always your journalism.
Today we filed the latest unfair labor practice charge against @Sightlinemedia protesting the full-time in-office mandate they just dropped. Please retweet this and tell @mortgreenberg, @kellyfacer15 and Regent to rescind this order and bargain with @SightlineUnion in good faith.

Hey @mikebloomberg, you're selling out retirees by slashing healthcare while Bloomberg INDG splurges to replace its lobby. Are new floors and a fish tank more important than former workers with cancer, and strokes? A new floor to walk on: paved with the backs of retirees.
Since it seems a migration to the other site is under way, we just set up another account at sightlineunion.bsky.social. Follow us there if you're planning to leave this site, but we plan to keep posting updates on both accounts.
Our first round of negotiations with @SightlineMedia management wrapped up a little bit ago. We thank management for engaging with us, and look forward to further constructive discussions.
Congratulations to our friends and colleagues at @MilNewsGuild! Well done, and we wish you the best of luck on your contract. 👏👏👏
Votes have been certified. The union has unanimous backing of all eligible @Militarydotcom staff! We look forward to working with the newly merged @CareerBuilder and @Monster on a fair contract for our award-winning team.
Your @SightlineUnion bargaining team. So proud to negotiate alongside these heavy hitters! @calbon @brykharris @JenJudson
It me:
Today the Sightline Media Union begins our first round of negotiations with our employer. We are eager and ready to work out a fair and equitable contract for our dedicated journalists, so we can continue telling the stories that matter to service members and their families.
