This is not a normal election. Whether it’s expanding 🇨🇦 trade, getting housing built, making life more affordable, safer communities, or fighting climate change - there’s 1 team in it for all of us. Proud to cast my ballot for @vgasparro in #EgLaw! Vince will be an amazing MP.

#NEW: Canada’s trade to countries other than the USA is up dramatically for the 4th month in a row.
Hey, @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was

I just registered for the @OntLiberal AGM! Regardless of the leadership question, Liberals can all agree that we need to build an inspiring, comprehensive vision for Ontario’s future. Looking forward to big discussions. Let me know if you’ll be there & want to meet! #onpoli
It was blatantly obvious for months to anyone following #onpoli that Ford was eyeing an early election call. Including Crombie herself, who commented on this multiple times. Acknowledging our failures with plans for reform is the OLP’s best path forward. Not revisionist history.
Bonnie Crombie on the early election on @TheresaLubowitz’s podcast: “It all happened very quickly. We weren’t fully prepared, we didn’t have the resources. We thought we had another year and a half.” Just blatantly unacceptable
If your first instinct is to blame Canada for tariffs hurting our workers and economy, sit down and think again. You’re either on Team Canada or playing right into Trump’s hands. There’s no middle ground. Stand up for 🇨🇦 or stay out of the way. Vive Le Canada!
Mike Colle: "What the hell does the federal government know about housing?!" Mike Colle earlier in the afternoon:
Councillor Mike Colle calls the condo market "Bitcoin housing." He rages against the size of units, the height of buildings, the lack of parking, not enough green space, and the Ontario Land Tribunal. Also: "What the hell does the federal government know about housing?!"
Believe survivors. Thank you to E.M for her courage, I hope she knows how many of us stand behind her. This isn’t what justice looks like.
Toronto agreed to legalize Sixplexes citywide as a part of HAF (which had 6 items the city agreed to do). @shelleycarroll the city didn’t do it. The Feds aren’t fighting you. They’re just not giving you money for something you didn’t do. If the money is important to the city,…
"I really don't know why they want to pick this fight with us," Carroll says of the federal government. "We are bigger than the city of Vancouver by the size of Montreal. So if you take all the area where sixplexes currently are as-of-right, it exceeds any other city in Canada."
Prediction: The next 3.5 years of media discourse in Ontario will be journalists asking Mark Carney why he hasn’t fixed Doug Ford’s problems yet.
This verdict shows how Canada’s justice system still has a long way to go in terms of understanding & protecting women’s rights/safety. And the judge’s smearing of the victim is just more salt in the wound. A horrible precedent has been set.
Smiling is not consent. I have no words.
This is a ridiculous reason to limit the amount of beds in a new homeless shelter. Mike Colle isn’t serious. My community desperately needs a new councillor.
Councillor Mike Colle asks about setback requirements for the shelter at Caledonia & Eglinton. "It's right next door to a shawarma place. So we don't want to get the smell of the shawarma, as much as we love shawarma, can we get a setback from that?" Staff say they'll look at it
One thing I think younger YIMBYs can do to help bring older folks into the tent is to demonstrate that, given half a chance, the system will absolutely nimby the housing they are going to need when they are less mobile. While this seniors housing project passed, look at the…

I hope Canadian authorities investigate this. If this guy’s story pans out, we are in a whole new world. ctvnews.ca/montreal/artic…
Oh like a pilot project. Toronto loves pilot projects. Also, this proves my point that we only do things when there’s a big event and we want to show off. #TOpoli
Councillor Brad Bradford moves to make the RapidTO lanes on Bathurst & Dufferin temporary, expiring July 31, 2026.
We hope council votes to reject this half-baked motion from a Councillor who represents a ward far outside the scope of planned RapidTO lanes on Bathurst and Dufferin Streets.

Good on @GregorRobertson for holding Toronto to its promise on sixplexes. If Mayor Chow and City Council isn’t willing to do the bare minimum - legalizing sixplexes citywide - Toronto should absolutely see its HAF funding cut.
Hopefully the Mayor steps up this time. cbc.ca/news/canada/to…
Impressed with @gregorrobertson for sticking to his guns on this. The Housing Accelerator Fund is meant to help pay for the new infrastructure that comes with population growth. If Toronto doesn't hold up its end of the bargain, then it is by no means entitled to this funding.
Hopefully the Mayor steps up this time. cbc.ca/news/canada/to…
Excellent to see Housing Minister @gregorrobertson holding Toronto accountable on sixplexes. I don’t think we see this without persistent pressure from advocates and folks in @MoreNeighbours @MayorOliviaChow it’s time to bring this back for another CITYWIDE vote in the fall!
Hopefully the Mayor steps up this time. cbc.ca/news/canada/to…
