Earlier this week, Director Remillard & some of our SEMA team members met with @MissouriPSC staff to discuss how disaster response & recovery efforts are coordinated when public utilities are severely impacted. It was also a great conversation about future planning & resiliency.




Here's a look at the radar estimated rainfall from 6 am Thursday through 6 am today. The heaviest rain fell along an axis from Lexington, MO through Carrollton, MO. Flash flood warnings remain active across portions of the KC metro. Be careful on the roads this morning.

A Flood Watch remains in effect for Northwest and North Central Missouri through early Saturday morning. ✅Never attempt to drive into a flooded roadway ✅Low water crossings and low bridges are the most dangerous.
UPDATE: The far northern portion of the Flood Watch has now been extended through Friday evening. Thunderstorms capable of producing very heavy rain rates (2-4 inches/hour) expected mainly through tonight and Friday AM, with storm-total rainfall of 3 to 6 inches possible.
