And not by removing the much needed statutory protections …. You might be listening but just not to the right people ‘
The first objective of any reform to the SEND system is to improve outcomes for children who have been let down for far too long. We're listening and we're acting. We will build a support-first system where every child can achieve and thrive.
And in one post, I have finally lost all faith in NNPCF to be anything other than a mouthpiece for DfE (or do I mean ISOS?) nnpcf.org.uk/2025/06/10/nnp… So disappointing.
@SendCrisis_Worc will not cease until real improvement is realised for our children & young people with #SEND. Too many young lives are being affected by these systemic and unlawful failures! Please share to let all know we need change now!

Worcestershire fails its SEND inspection. Too many children wait “unacceptably long times to have their needs identified and met” Recent improvement plans haven’t worked. The LA is in the “Delivering better value” scheme. Or not, in this case… files.ofsted.gov.uk/v1/file/502524…
This was predictable, I've spent three years fighting as this has got worse. Like the parents, I'm exhausted trying to fight what is happening. Been made to feel like I'm interfering whenever I've raised issues & now I just feel like I've experienced gaslighting by the council.
Whenever I talk about the things that parents and children tell me happen to them when they are struggling with school, people get angry. They tell me I’m stirring dissent and damaging the relationship between schools and families. They tell me that I’m lying or trying to…
Credit to Sutton Parent Carer Forum for resigning. Similar happened @AforChildren and in other local authorities. But if no one was resigning from these government contracts, we should be even more worried. Sutton is a shorthand for what's happening in SEND, which is dire.
This is absolutely awful @SuttonCouncil @CognusLimited @SuttonLibDems for the families disabled children in our borough. It clearly shows how little you respect parental views. Thank you @suttonparents for all that you have done and so sorry you have been treated this way.

How on earth WCF have the nerve to tweet this when many children and young people with EHCPs in Worcestershire have no appropriate school setting or access to full time educational provision.

We are hearing across parent groups that communication with WCF is at an all time low. Caseworkers leaving, on long-term leave or overwhelmed. Contract staff out of area being used. @FiPWorcs how are you raising these issues on behalf of parent carers?
Great service from @GWRHelp under difficult circumstances on Paddington 15.32 to Great Malvern train - shame about the conduct of 5 young people being loud and abusive ( causing alarm and distress) - understand GWR staff have reported before and @BTP have failed to do anything.
