1) An impressive dataset on ME/CFS was just published by the research team of Ian Lipkin. They tested multiple proteins and metabolites in 56 ME/CFS patients and 51 controls before and after exercise and cytokines in response to mimics of viral, bacterial, and yeast infection.
The German Society of Neurologists (#DGN) published a winded statement about the „state of research on #MECFS“ claiming that „immunological factors“ are not involved. Zero references. Apparently an influential faction is calling the shots there. They need to clean up their place.
Das Perfide an der Stellungnahme der DGN ist, dass sie für Menschen, die mit ME/CFS nicht vertraut sind, wie ein ausgewogener wissenschaftlicher Text klingt. Sie wird zu großem Leid beitragen. 👇
Mir fehlen die Worte, um auszudrücken, was das bedeutet. Seit fünf Jahren eine schwerstkranke Tochter am Leben zu erhalten. Ohne adäquate medizinische Versorgung. Ohne Therapie. Das oft qualvolle Sterben anderer Betroffener mitzuerleben. Der Jüngste war 17. 1/

Deutschland hat eine jesidische (!) Familie (!!) mit vier minderjährigen (!!!) Kindern in den Irak abgeschoben. Trotz erfolgreicher Klage gegen die Abschiebung. Straffällig ist niemand von ihnen gewesen. Was soll das mit rechtsstaatlicher Migrationspolitik zu tun haben?
