Behold! The 1992 House map! I put a lot into this, so a like, repost & follow (if you don’t already) would be appreciated 🥹. This was a particularly important cycle because it was the first where the VRA was fully enforced, so you had some crazy looking districts and lawsuits…

Release of the full ‘64 House map tomorrow evening, but here’s a sneak peak! Despite the LBJ landslide, CA maintained its 25-13 Dem edge. More importantly, note the near-complete inversion from today’s CA geography, with Dems doing well inland and the GOP dominating the coast.
‘24 CA House Districts: How Easy Would Productive Mid-Decade Redistricting Be? If CA Dems can manage to dismantle the redistricting commission, it’s reasonable they can net 6 seats. Seats likely on the chopping block: - Doug LaMalfa (01) - Kevin Kiley (03) - Tom McClintock (05)…

When I worked at my Dad’s liquor store in Greenwich, CT years ago, I delivered wine to the homes of Sen Richard Blumenthal, Gov Ned Lamont & Linda McMahon, as well as her son-in-law, the wrestler Triple H (with whom I share a birthday, tomorrow, 7/27). 😁
Name a piece of political lore about yourself
With WI Gov Evers’ retirement announcement, all eyes will turn to AG Josh Kaul on the Dem side. While the environment should be in Dems’ favor next year, and Kaul has plenty of name recognition, we should note he slightly underperformed Evers’ numbers in his ‘22 reelection.
A love letter from me to Kathy and my family—and to you, Wisconsin.

I’m sorry? That’s Jon who?!
That’s Jon Tester Looks 20 years younger with the beard
With the GOP now wanting to take a cleaver to Cleaver’s CD, my next ‘64 comparison is MO. The delegation in MO in ‘64 was essentially the inverse what it is today. Dems were not only strong in St. Louis & KC, but also the rural areas. The GOP was limited to the StL suburbs & the…
Looks like the GOP is very likely going to redistrict in Missouri and Florida. With a possibility in New Hampshire as well Missouri would be +1 Florida would be +3/4 NH would be +1 Dems might regret blustering about redistricting CA….. punchbowl.news/article/campai…
Barnstable County MA is home to Cape Cod, and has voted fairly reliably for Democrats in the recent era. Kamala Harris won it by 21 points in 2024, only losing a handful of precincts more inland #ElectionTwitter
The 2024 FL-09 Congressional Election, a contest between Four Term incumbent Darren Soto—the first Puerto Rican congressman elected in Florida—and Retired U.S. Army Colonel Thomas Chalifoux resulted in a strong win for Soto in this heavilly right shifting Puerto Rican seat
With all the whacky TX maps coming out, I thought I’d take us down nostalgia lane when TX Dems were at their peak. As native Texan LBJ was blowing out his GOP opponent Barry Goldwater, Dems won every seat in the state, with the GOP only cracking 40% in 5CDs! 🤯
we’re seeing redistricting plans you wouldn’t believe
The 2021 Pittsburg Mayoral Democratic Primary, a contest between State Rep. Ed Gainey and Incumbent Mayor Bill Peduto was a bitter one which saw the Progressive Gainey win over a man who claimed to have paved the way for progressives to win in Pittsburg,
The biggest thing Dems have going for them is that they’re the other party in what’s essentially a two-party system. They don’t have to do anything, nor do they have to be popular. Republicans just have to become unpopular, as every party in power eventually does. It’s similar…
As of now, Democrats only have two things going for them in 2026: -Historical trends -Republican incompetence Meanwhile, the following is going against them: -Awful voter registration -Bad fundraising -Potentially brutal primaries -Major redistricting -Historically unpopular…
NEW BIZARRO WORLD ELECTIONS!! Which year did these two AL elections take place on the same night, and for which offices? Bonus: There are fun facts about the two candidates in the second map…
