DeSantis floats mid-decade redistricting for Florida congressional seats ow.ly/GoiY106gPcK
Potential R Redistricting Gains: 🔴TX +5 🔴FL +4 🔴OH +3 🔴MO +1 🔴IN +1 🔴KY +1 R+*15* gain IF SECTION II OF THE VRA IS REPEALED: 🔴LA +2 🔴AL +2 🔴MS +1 🔴GA +1 🔴SC +1 🔴NC +1 R+8 (R+23 Total) Good night, House Dems 😬😬😬😬
Florida governor Ron DeSantis may push for more GOP-friendly congressional maps “There’s nothing preventing the governor from calling a special session to redraw the maps” tallahassee.com/story/news/loc…

Democrats already have nearly maximally gerrymandered their big states: California 43-9 (83%) Illinois - 14-3 (82%) Massachusetts - 9-0 (100% New Jersey - 9-3 (75%) New York - 19-7 (73%) Removing the VRA would yield minimal gains, but doom at least ~10 black Southern Dems.
It’s time for Democrats to understand the existential threat. Republicans aren’t playing around and they will do this as long as it takes to keep power. It’s time we dilute VRA districts. There are plenty of Democratic districts that have 65-80% Dem performance.
This is the most insane cope I’ve ever seen from a Dem with regards to redistricting. Holy shit 🤣
Maryland will gain 1 regardless of what the Supreme Court does (they’ll allow it), and California will gain 7, Oregon will gain 1, and Illinois will gain 1. After 2026, Minnesota will gain 2, Wisconsin will gain 3, Pennsylvania will gain 4-5 from what they have now.
You go through these state by state and you find opportunities for Rs and roadblocks for Ds. CO/VA in particular are bad commission-ish outcomes for Ds considering what Dem-drawn maps in 2021 could’ve been
Looks like the GOP is very likely going to redistrict in Missouri and Florida. With a possibility in New Hampshire as well Missouri would be +1 Florida would be +3/4 NH would be +1 Dems might regret blustering about redistricting CA….. punchbowl.news/article/campai…
The reality is that these “redistricting wars” don’t matter much for 2026. Democrats are very likely to win back the house with or without any mid decade redistricting. The real prize is the 2028 house, which could block the next election winner from having any legislative agenda
Lmfao they can’t do anything in any of these states. Just abundantly clear that Dems have absolutely nothing to counter the GOP mid decade redistricting
CNN: House Democrats are actively exploring redrawing congressional lines in California, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and Washington state in the midst of Texas redrawing their congressional map to favor the GOP. cnn.com/2025/07/20/pol…
This is some of the most speculative cope I've seen. Democrats don't have a House majority in Minnesota right now and would likely require amendments in California, New York, New Jersey, and Washington.

Since there is basically no legal way to do this, the real takeaways here are “Dems are trying to scare Reps into not redrawing Texas” and “Gavin Newsom is running for president in 2028 and wants to look like a fighter.”
🚨BREAKING NEWS — CALIFORNIA HOUSE DEMOCRATS are looking to get 5-7 more seats in Congress in mid-decade redistricting being pushed by @GavinNewsom @allymutnick and I have all the details in @PunchbowlNews link.punchbowl.news/click/40719032…
Reality check: Dems are way behind their 2006 & 2018 pace on the generic ballot at this point in the cycle. Ahead by only 2 pt vs. 7 pt in 2006/2018 cycles. Seat-by-seat analysis actually reveals more GOP pickup opportunities than Dems! Very much unlike 2006 & 2018 at this pt.
TEXAS redistricting news in Midday: TRUMP said Rs will try to squeeze out 5 more red seats We hear tentative plan is to draw them in: 1. Cuellar's #TX28 2. Gonzalez's #TX34 3. Julie Johnson's #TX32 4. Houston area 5. TBD - possibly Austin area w @JakeSherman + @MicaSoellnerDC
Yeah, absolutely no way that 51 out of the 62 Texas State House Democrats are going to be able to deny a quorum long enough so that redistricting doesn’t happen. And it’s going to cost them A LOT of money to do so. $500 each day. Texas will be redistricting one way or another
The latest on Texas redistricting w/ @jdavidgoodman Democrats Broach Potential Walkout to Block Texas Redistricting Trump calls TX congressional Rs. Jeffries, Martin, Holder call TX statehouse Ds. nytimes.com/2025/07/15/us/…

What a shame that Toth isn’t standing with our Great President Trump to send aid and weapons to Ukraine!!!
"It’s official! I’m running for Congress to bring bold, unapologetic conservative leadership back to CD 2. Dan Crenshaw promised to fight for us – instead, he sided with Democrats, sent billions to Ukraine, and called MAGA conservatives “terrorists.” That’s not leadership and…
He can question the independent redistricting commission all he wants...changing the maps at this point would require voters to approve overturning 2010's Prop 20 and returning map-drawing responsibility to the Legislature...best of luck with that.
Gov. @GavinNewsom tells @TheTNHoller that if @GregAbbott_TX does mid-decade redistricting to help Rs, California may do the same — “with two-thirds majorities in the legislature, could gerrymander like no other state.” He says California has been “playing fair” with an…
